This was our second two week stay and we love this region of the country. The Palazzo Catalani is the perfect place to while exploring the countryside. The new restaurant is great, the staff welcoming and the local community is full of great people.

Some inconvenience when it comes to parking and getting bags / luggage to your room. Some good things are the quaint old town of Soriano. Rooms were nice and it was to have an elevator

We were hesitant to book here because so many reviews complained about the steep walk from the parking lot. It is a four minute walk up or down. We are in our mid seventies and had no problem. The whole town is somewhat steep so if you have serious mobility problems, this is probably not the place to visit. The hotel employees were all lovely and they handled the luggage. The town is charming with many good restaurants. We loved our stay in this charming and very affordable hotel.

Everything was perfect here. The only difficulty was to find the hotel. If you are driving you need to park on a nearby street and walk there. Then they directed us to the parking lot to leave the car over night and we had to walk to the hotel. The will carry all of our luggage on a little van that they have. We also had a small problem with not getting any cold water in the shower but it wasn't a big deal. The rest was pleasant. We enjoyed the views, the restaurant, and the room. We had a wonderful time here.

Such a beautiful resort. Absolutely breathtaking. The staff were all so amazing and helpful. Rome was about 1.5 - 2 hours away by transit but it was so worth it to stay at this resort. Very easy to take the transit. Very authentic Italian and lots of shopping and restaurants near by. This resort is up on a high hill that cars cannot go up so be prepared to walk up a step hill or 2 but worth it!

over all a wonderful stay, especially a walk in the old city. or a cup of latte afterward. only remember to call the hotel to arrange luggages pick up from the street below, since car are not allow to drive up to the hotel.

Palazzo Catalani Resort was an amazing hotel settled on top of a hill overlooking the quint Italian city streets with amazing views on the Orsini Castle. If you ever wanted to experience what it is like to live like a local Italian in a small city surrounded by ancient buildings, coffee shops and churches, this is the perfect setting. The actual resort covers a large area with breathtaking views from every angle. The rook top garden is especially amazing with gardens and seats everywhere situated with a view of the surrounding area. Pictures do NOT do it justice. The rooms themselves have been remodeled with all the modern amenities but some of the medieval door hardware, wardrobes and styling is straight out of the renaissance. Perfect combination of old and new. We were in Room 7 which was had a living room, dining room/kitchen, with 2 bedrooms (2 twin and 1 queen) with a full shower (no tub) bathroom as well as a ½ bath in the master room. The only issue was parking- BUT as soon as you figured it out it was simple. The public parking lot is less than a 5-minute walk and the steward helps you when you arrive and takes your luggage to your room- just call when you get there. Highly recommend for a piece of authentic Italian living on your vacation.

Remind yourself that the view is worth it.
We were here 13 years ago and loved the place so much we returned at great expense and distance from our other plans. On our return we were pleased to see it was still the same charing place and the views and surrounding city are breathtaking. The problem with nothing changing is stuff like the internet. We still had the same old login setup as 13 years ago, with only 2 devices allowed for snail-speeds, and on the day of our checkout (at midnight), the internet shut off for us completely! The complementary breakfast is a total joke now too. (I added a picture of what they call a buffet breakfast.) You're handed a menu when you are seated where you can purchase eggs, bacon, or anything like that, but at very high prices. (That wasn't the case before and it was very upsetting! It's pointless to call what they include a breakfast at all.) Or bed was a pull-out and that wasn't mentioned in our booking! NOT HAPPY... but as far as pull-outs go, it wasn't too bad. Still... Over $100 for that!?
The view is worth it. But you may have to remind yourself of that from time to time!
Probably the worst free breakfast we've every had in Italy. (Then to had us a overpriced menu for actual food and coffee.)

Appena arrivati abbiamo parcheggiato in un parcheggio pubblico a circa 400m dalla struttura, che si deve raggiungere poi a piedi. Comodo il servizio di pick up dei bagagli. La struttura è molto bella. Mentalmente pronti per un pomeriggio di relax in spa, veniamo avvisati al check in che la spa era full e che andava prenotata in anticipo a causa dell’esaurimento dei posti. Arrivati in camera ci accorgiamo che lo split non produceva aria calda e che il termosifone del bagno era rotto: non ci hanno cambiato camera ma fornito gentilmente una stufetta elettrica con la quale abbiamo potuto passare la notte. Tuttavia apprezzabile la disponibilità del personale nel trovare una soluzione. Colazione buona e variegata.

Abbiamo soggiornato in un appartamento spazioso, dotato di ogni comfort. Ottima la colazione e veramente gentile ed efficiente tutto lo staff. È una struttura che ha cura anche dell’impatto ambientale. Consigliata! Il parcheggio è un po’ distante, ma gratuito.

Prenoto appartamento (superior) che presenta alcune foto e per fortuna anche una metratura dichiarata di 50m2. La metratura è un dato oggettivo, qualcuno direbbe quantitativo. Mi mettono in una stanza tremenda, forse la basic, in un altro edifico molto piu brutto del principale. Faccio notare la cosa alla reception. Con tanto di screenshot, della prenotazione e del fatto che la camera differisca tantissimo nelle foto e nelle dimensioni (sara stata un 25m2 circa, ma era proprio brutta. Letto sull angolo cottura. Da vomito. A me peraltro l angolo cottura non serviva).Mi fanno notare che non ho pagato molto. Io dico, ho preso la camera piu costosa che avevate su hotels.com. Non è colpa mia se la vendete a poco. Il receptionist mi fa tutto un sermone sugli albeghi negli edifici storici, che ogni camera è diversa dalle altre etc. Gli faccio capire che so come funziona. Niente, è scettico. Sarebbe carino, se non si e in grado di capire la persona che si ha davanti dare una googlata al nome, casomai uno trova un profilo linkedin e realizza. Nell'anno comunque credo avrò speso un importo a 5 cifre per le vacanze in hotel, con una media di 400-500e a notte. Se ho voluto passare due notti a Soriano nel Cimino, ho prenotato tramite hotels.com la camera piu costosa perche devo essere downgradato? Ha detto che non era la piu costosa,lo era. In pratica facevano come se avessi prenotato la.camera.piu economica e loro potevano scegliere dove mettermi. Da denuncia.Per il resto hotel promoss
