"Our family wanted a weekend away before the hustle and bustle of the Christmas Holiday. This getaway was perfect. I was nervous our kids would be bored but they really enjoyed it and want to come back every year. We brought our dog with us which was a first for our family. She lived her very best life. We played cards, darts, made a fire in the fireplace, enjoyed the hot tub, watched the birds at the birdfeeder, went to the lake and local pizza joint and played outside with our dog. We never...

"The perfect Thanksgiving family venue! This place has amazing views, the backyard is a hiking trail, it has a huge fireplace that we kept going our entire stay, plenty of games, plenty of space for your own fun or relaxation and a huge deck with swings to enjoy the views!! Would highly recommend this to anyone with AWD or 4WD!!"

"Hubby and I were in town for a wedding with our 21 year old son. We were walking distance from some great local stops and just a short drive from anything we needed and plenty to do. Next trip we’d like to take advantage of hiking options we didn’t have time for this trip. Sooooo much better than a hotel, this place is loaded with character and comfort touches a plenty and provided everyone a nice balance of privacy and togetherness! Great stay!"

"Beautiful river front spot. Kids and adults jumped into the canoes and kayaks and had a blast while we stoked a fire. Great spot and Luray is our favorite town in the country low hills in VA."

"The home is in a very cool location. We loved the drive to the house. There were great views of the river. The home had everything needed to enjoy the river, but our stay was too cold to enjoy the river. Overall, the home was just what we were looking for!"

"With grandparents and 2 families with children, not only was the house perfect but the fenced yard was huge and spectacular. We didn’t use the hot tub, but there was plenty of good space for adults, too. We gathered for a family wedding, but the space enabled us to spend a few wonderful relaxing days with family we rarely see. Communication with Leora was prompt and accommodating. 5 stars all around! "We really enjoyed our stay in the house. It is exactly as pictured except even quieter and more peaceful. It's very remote but still only twenty minutes from shopping in Luray. House was well stocked with all of the essentials and made for a nice break in the country."

"River Perch was amazing! We had a wonderful family long weekend in November with our two labs. Even in November, the kids and dogs had a fantastic time in the water- tubing, fishing and wading. The river was relatively shallow- no deeper than thigh high on my 12 year old. My husband tried to fish, but after 3 days gave up. Super quiet, clean, remote and has everything you need. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable and the TV was fully equipped with all streaming apps. The fire pit was stocked...
