"I can’t think of a better place from which to explore the Cairngorms. This property, including our little cottage, is an historical gem. You will have to manage a few tiny comfort issues like no shower, the cushions on the living room furniture were worn to the point you are sitting in the frame, there were spiders (harmless) everywhere. "Had a fantastic stay, the accommodation was spotless. Great private garden with hot tub. Owner Alan was fantastic, showed me round the property, was shown how hot tub worked. Everything was provided to make it a lovely relaxing holiday. Plenty nice cafes and shops in edzell to get everything needed. Great base for travelling round and visiting nearby towns. Bed was so comfy, it was warm when I stayed but the bothy was lovely and cool. Will definitely be back for another visit. Best relaxing...
