"the cabin is private once you are inside you face the woods but it is off route 32, if you use the hot tub you are facing woods which gives you privacy. I wanted a quiet weekend to celebrate my girlfriend's Bday which the cabin did suit that purpose otherwise not much to do in the local town of Cairo you blink you'll miss it. "My friends and I stayed here, and we very much enjoyed a quiet place to stay at the end of the day. We were racing nearby at the Dragway for a few days, the location was great. The deer that visited in the yard was a nice touch. It's also a nice place to take in the sunrise from the deck with a coffee or two. We would definitely stay here again."

"We booked a couple nights to attend a show at Tanglewood and Chris and Ellen's Heartwood cabin did not disappoint. Great proximity to countless things of interest (amazing digital guidebook provided by hosts) we were only able to scratch the surface. So grateful dogs are able to enjoy the cabin and the gorgeous grounds. We will try to return down the road for sure!"

There are many ways to spend time at the cabin between the hot tub, barbeque and activities/exercise room but most fun was sitting on the screened porch and watching a wide variety of songbirds. There's a resident groundhog and a family of deer wandered past a few times. The proximity to Saugerties, Cairo and the town of Catskill are big pluses. If you need to get away from it all, this is the place. "

"Myself with my 2 daughters and their fiancés spend this this weekend up at house and it was lots of fun. There were many games to play. The house itself was very roomy and all the bedrooms were big and very welcoming. We tried to use the hot tub, but it wasn’t warming up and then it started to snow so maybe that was sign.
