"The Hekla Cabins are three, wonderful little cabins just off one of the main roads through the area. The cabin comfortably fit two, but there's a pullout couch (at least in Cabin One) for an additional sleeper. The kitchen has a small fridge and a stovetop, and the bathroom has a shower with plenty of hot water (WiFi was also available). "From the moment we arrived, our Hagi 2 cabin was a perfect retreat for our stay in Iceland. The home was well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The location was shielded from the wind and beautifully private. There was even a washer/dryer! Robert was a terrific host and anticipated our every need. When spending time at the cabin, we didn’t feel as if we were missing anything as we would have if we were in a hotel room. "This was our third stay at the cottage. It's cosy, warm, beautiful views and a very helpful host. The accommodation was immaculate and plenty of hot water. "We loved the property. The views were breathtaking and despite the extreme weather, we were always very warm & cozy. The hot tub too was outstanding. The one thing I would have fixed would be the issue with the locks not actually locking. I understand it is a rural area with little to no crime, but as a foreigner from a place that has plenty of crime, it was a bit worrisome leaving for the day’s excursions with the knowledge that the door could not properly lock.
