"Bearing in mind that it was a Youth Hostel and not a hotel, we were very happy with our accomodation. The room was large and had a fridge which was a big plus for us. The beds were comfortable and everything in the en-suite bathroom worked well. The only downside was a lack of electrical sockets - there were two in the room and the fridge had to be plugged into one of them but we managed by charging a power bank when we were out and using that to charge mobile phones. "We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. We received excellent service and the staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming. Note if you stay during the warmer season: There’s no AC in the room or ventilation in the bathrooms. "The hotel was close by to everything I needed from transport to shops to dining. The hotel staff were welcoming and friendly and patient with me as I don’t speak English also as I suffer from anxiety I had a few moments where I needed some help and confirmation on things. The room I had was the junior suite and it was clean and tidy, a little warm however you can request for adjustments in the room temperature as I was only sleeping in there I didn’t really want to bother them. Breakfast was plenty full and much choice, from cereals to continental to cooked food even ginger shots, juices and coffee and tea. Coffee was magnificent I must say. If I ever visit Aalborg again this hotel will be my choice to stay again. "
