"Unfortunately our stay was cut short by bushfire but the day and a half we spent there was nice. It is a great location to explore flinders Chase National park which is magnificent and nearby Hanson Beach is stunning. The retreat even has some small nature walks around the property that we saw some great birdlife on (they have their own bird blind so bring your camera). The bbq area is great and we enjoyed some home cooked steaks so don't be afraid to ask the restaurant to borrow what you need -...

"This property is perfect if you want to be away from everything. Its secluded and relaxing - with great views and plenty of wildlife about. Its completely off grid with solar electricity and water from tanks. The room has everything you need for a short or even and extended stay. Plenty of cooking equipment, a full sized fridge with freezer and tea and coffe with a kettle and microwave. We really enjoyed our 5 days here."

"Stokes Bay, and thus the cabins, is isolated. Situated on the cliff face, looking north, one is surrounded by silence and peace, mixed with dozens of kangaroos and even some sheep. Nearby is the only restaurant, sadly open only till 5 pm; so bring your own food or consider a drive to Kingcote (sadly with roo-danger for the nightly return. We stayed three nights to have a holidayā€¦ make daytime excursions and enjoy evenings at the cabin. Highly recommended, but not if you expect action!"
