"This was our 3rd visit to Lumley Castle & it was just as great as previous ones. We wanted a relaxing break & it was exactly that. The staff were excellent & nothing was too much trouble. I do have one suggestion however regarding the bar menu. The library bar is a nice alternative to the restaurant especially if you just want a drink but we would have liked to enjoy some snacks to enjoy with our drinks but the only choices were pork scratchings & olives, no crisps or nuts. We also would have liked some ighter healthier meal choices eg. Caesar salad rather than the heavier choices of meat pie, burgers & fish n chips which were not our choice as the weather was very warm. The restaurant food however was excellent if a little pricey. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much & hope to return very soon. "

"Yet another super friendly, comfortable stay, even down to the friendly welcome card on my breakfast table. Nothings too much, and everyone was super friendly even when I arrived for breakfast 5 minutes before it finished. This is my definite go to whenever I’m in the northeast working from now on "
