"Lovely hotel, breakfast is very nice and plentiful. Swimming pool although a little dated is very nice. Hotel is let down with the price of drinks from the bar, pint of Guinness, rum and lemonade, £14.95."

A great stay overall.
"Lovely warm house in a beautiful setting. Could do with a bit of updating. For example, the toaster didn’t work and the beds and pillows were quite lumpy. On the whole though, we had a wonderful time and would go back."

Lovely walk west along the historic River Tweed from Peebles leads to Neidpath Castle. This Castle is still being used as a residence. It's has a long history of seige, bankruptcy, famous visitors, starring in TV and Film and of course inevtable haunting by a young heartbroken maiden.
