"stayed here with my brother and a friend. it's so close to skogafoss! we enjoyed our stay. the facilities were clean, and the breakfast included with our stay was fresh and delicious."

"One quick overnight stay. Staff was very accommodating for our early arrival. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for the ferry departure and weren't able to enjoy the complimentary breakfast."

"This guesthouse was a wonderful place to stay not far from Vik. The beds were comfortable and the shared amenities were nice. My only complaint was the cleanliness of the bathroom. It didn't seem to be completely cleaned between people's visits... "

"My son and I stayed for 3 nights. We loved the communal dining area, the complementary breakfast cereals, milk, tea and coffee were a really nice touch, especially given the remoteness. The kitchen is a good size and really well-stocked for pots/pans/plates etc. The view was stunning. The road to the property is cratered and care needs to be taken. The bathroom could do with a refresh, but everything was clean, tidy and worked. We'd visit again."

"Quaint little guesthouse! The stairs are very narrow so moving luggage is a bit difficult but the location is great. We stayed 2 nights and the radiator in the bedroom wasn’t working but the property managers left a couple of beers for us knowing that they are still renovating and it was warm enough with just the one radiator. "This was a guesthouse where we were greeted by the owner as we drove up. She showed us our room, which was clean and comfortable. She also made wonderful pancakes for breakfast for everyone, it felt like a family meal. I would recommend to anyone wanting something other than the sterile hotel room experience. "

Bad points.the house was very dilapidated, in very bad condition externally which gives a bad first impression .lots of flies around. Room very stark, nothing cosy. Shared bathroom not in good state of repair, pedal bin in bathroom full to the brim with sanitary towels, clearly not emptied in quite a number of days. Very overpriced ."

"Highly recommend! We absolutely loved the Garage! The surroundings were gorgeous, and it very easy to find. The property itself was spacious, spotless, well equipped and lovely as well! Check in was easy, and Anna, Siggi and Einar were very helpful both at check in and prior to arriving, sending detailed and helpful instructions. I would warn that this is quite remote, so it isn’t too close to supermarkets. However, this is made very clear in the check in instructions and as such we were well prepared. What made this property really stand out and make this perfect was the little extras that made us feel valued and well looked after. For instance the access to a central kitchen with extra cooking supplies if we needed them, homemade cakes for us to help ourselves to, a funny and informative welcome booklet and access to a hot tub in the most beautiful of surroundings (although we didn’t use this). After our experience here, we were sad that we only booked to stay one night and would definitely come back if we visit Iceland again. "
