"What a hidden gem of a B $ B. The hosts were extraordinary - friendly, extremely helpful, kind and wonderful cooks (the breakfasts cooked to order were incredible, not to mention the daily ration of Raki !). "Beautiful and unique space- so, be prepared to climb and then be rewarded for your efforts. We loved exploring Chania, we loved the property and wish we had an extra day just to spend lounging in the room and on the roof garden. We don't usually eat breakfast but would not miss this breakfast for anything, hot coffee, fresh juice, quiet old cafe feel. We truly appreciated the peaceful ,yet busy, mornings, smiling faces, and great service."

"This is a self-service hotel where you will receive the location and door code along with the key which associates to your room. The room had the basic necessities such as soap, towels and WiFi which were all I needed. The only issue I had was activating the A/C which did not work even after closing the window. Overall, I enjoyed Chania and TheJoy hotel and would come back again!"

"This villa had the most astounding views! Perched above a rocky outcrop, the sunsets every night were a delight. The expanse of the sea below was magical. The Villa was exactly as described in the listing and Giorgios and Penelope could not have been more welcoming. Their communication with us was faultless and they connected us with a wonderful man named Christos who helped us arrange activities and a chef during our stay. We would most certainly return!"

Lots of parking, good restaurant on site, and really friendly staff who arranged a baby cot and chair well before we checked in! Only thing is the rooms have a slightly dated decor.
