"This hotel was stunning, with breathtaking views. My room featured a lovely balcony. The owner was incredibly accommodating; he welcomed us warmly upon our late check-in at 10 PM. I would definitely return."

"This property was outstanding. We had a mix up with the room I booked which was a deluxe villa but got a basic room. The hosts were really apologetic and should be issuing a refund for the difference. The breakfast was outstanding and its a 10 minute walk to the old town so location could not be better. The parking was very challenging so if you are driving this could be an issue its a very step incline with a tight turn into a driveway walls on all sides. We could not find the villa and google maps got it wrong but we popped into a restaurant and they called they owners who met us there and let us follow them. This was extremely good value for what you got I would highly recommend it. The host also offered to take us to a local beach for €10 each way and it was so nice and private. I posted a review on trip adviser as well with photos. "

"The landlord is a great guy, he's full of information about the town and he saves us by printing out our boarsing cards bwfore we left. We had to find gim at his hotel on the seafront for this though. The property is spacious and decently furnished, 6 can confortably sleep there. But there were sone problems: there were no cups, glasses of saucepans in the kitchen and the promised microwave did not exist. The AC unit dripp constantly and profusely, and there are 6 or seven parking spaces for the 8 flats, but some blocked others in, so we had to knock on our neighbour's doors a few timea before leaving. The town itself is a crazy holiday town with loads of identical restaurants and bars and a beach that is completely packed all day. Seafood was excelent at all of them. However, we found that visiting the beach about 5pm for a dip was very nice and there are lots of places to visit nearby, including the beautiful (emptyish) expanse of long beach about 20 mins away. There is also a very good supermarket (Idea) 5 mins walk from the property."

"What a stunning property. If you are coming to Ulcinj, strongly advise staying in the Old Town: the most beautiful part of town with spectacular views. This hotel is an excellent choice. The property is lovely, with a beautiful terrace on rooms level where we sat having a drink at our private table. Several terraces on the main level & outdoor restaurant tables. The pool area is nice (although the water chilly in April). Room #A2 quite comfortable, views out to the sea, with a separate entrance area for a writing table, chair & WC entrance. Great if one of you is a light sleeper! Breakfast: pretty typical for a hotel buffet: lots of fresh fruit, cereals, baked goods, juices, Balkan yogurt, honey, and they will make eggs to order (had cheese omelets our first morning which were excellent.) 2nd evening we had the buffet: we expected traditional foods, but it was pretty staid stuff. Suggest a la carte esp fish! MOST outstanding? Service. Every single person we encountered was so helpful. Staff carried luggage to our room, the waiter in the breakfast room speaks English, German, Montenegrin, Russian and probably something else I didn't hear! Evening waiter v friendly. Young lady at reception helped us get transportation from Ulcinj to Shkoder, Albania. Hadn't realized there'd be no buses on a Saturday! She suggested a mini van that does two runs a day for just €7/pp from the bus station. Just €3/pp more he picked us up at the Fortress: 2 min walk! Read fascinating Ulcinj history!"

"Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this property. On arrival there was no one on location to receive us. There was no signage, and we had to rely on the profile pictures to know we were at the correct location. The building was shuttered close. Trying the door, it was locked and no one answered the bell. We tried calling the contact number but received only a voice message. After an hour of waiting, we needed to make arrangements at another property. We contacted Hotels.com to inquire about a refund. The agent contacted the property owner who denied the refund as it was a nonrefundable booking. Keep in mind we did not cancel or not show up. We arrived at the property mid-afternoon but could not access the property. After Hotels.com contacted the property owner we did receive an email from the owner stating they were open and ready to receive us. This was after 7:00 pm in the evening. We responded to the email, explaining the situation, and we never heard back from the property owner. Hotels.com has since been unsuccessful contacting the property owner and getting us a refund. We are extremely disappointed with this property owner for holding us responsible to pay for a booking at a property that was ultimately not accesible to us, at no fault of our own."
