"The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I had a minor issue in my room and Olivia responded right away and dealt with the issue even though it was later in the evening. Lots of wildlife around! The beach is great for surfing or for strolling around. It is further away from Bocas town and requires a taxi ride charging $20 one way. "

"One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Affordable, clean, beautiful, welcoming hosts, and a very cute resident cat. Free coffee. Comfortable beds. Close to everything in Bocas Town. Hot water, although we had some trouble keeping the shower a constant temperature. However this really didn’t detract from our awesome stay!"

"We are so happy we stayed at Akwaba Lodge. The grounds are well maintained and we had opportunity to walk around and explore. We loved and appreciated the home made meals, breakfast to get us going with fresh homemade bread and jams. Then dinners, with a couple options to choose from, were delicious. We felt like we were part of the family dining there. The room had all we needed and was cleaned daily. We enjoyed some time just sitting at the table outside our room or relaxing in the hammocks....

"Our family had a wonderful 5 night stay here! We booked a over the water bungalow and it provided a beautiful every day. The staff were great! Alejandro helped us find a sloth that was in the forest behind the hotel. Breakfast was always healthy and yummy. We had dinner once and it was tasty too. We were able to swim from our bungalow, the water was about waist deep, and even kayaked around the hotel. Definitely Recommend

"It was awesome from the minute I arrived. Family owned business that went out of their way to ensure every detail was covered. Helped book excursions, gave suggestions on things to do. The food was incredible, everything I had and I had at least 2 meals there a day was delicious. The waitresses were friendly and responsive The bartenders were all so much fun with great personalities. Gave average rating on noise but learned turn AC on and that drowned it out. "
