"We found the cottage looking to stay in the vague area. It was superbly located for Battle and lots of other brilliant half term activities such as Bewl Water, Bedgebury or Herstmonceux science museum. The cottage was quiet, clean and had everything we needed. It was all very comfortable and we’d certainly visit again if we found ourselves in the area."

"The whole family loved the pool and enjoyed the tennis court. Using the cottages for 4 people means that 2 people in the attic look down on the 2 below. The Wi-Fi in Oast did not work. We said this but it was not made good as promised. (This is trivial) The family loved it and would book again. The online listing did not say how good the pool is."

"Situated in an excellent location with lots to do around you. Cottage was warm and cosy and everything you could possibly need was there, the welcome hamper was great and thankfully we didn’t need to find a shop for the essentials as it was all there. quick response from the owners when needed, would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back."

"We stayed for four nights in June and were delighted with the facilities provided. One king size bedroom, one double bedroom and a small room suitable for a child (we brought our own crib for the baby). Small details like the stair gate and a few toys helped too. The patio furniture was well used as we had glorious weather. Staplecross is well placed for exploring Rye. Hastings, local vineyards and National Trust properties. We would like to return next year!"

"In a grand old house overlooking the flatlands to the sea, with a view of miles. First impressions: huge. Second: who’s having which room (they all were en-suite so it didn’t really matter). Third - I want a bookcase like that one! We loved the first floor reading book as much as the sun room sofa. This was an easy stay in central Rye. A bit of a faff with two cars to park and repark - but parking is so inexpensive, we could park for 24 hours for less than it costs for an hour at home. The...

"We enjoyed our stay at the pavilion. It was spotless & a great welcome pack was provided. We were warmly greeted. The pavilion is in a peaceful location & within walking distance of Tenterden. Also nearby to local wineries."

"We had a great stay in this lovely little property on a working farm. The farmers were very friendly and obliging. There are so many gardens and houses to visit in the area and we got to the coast as well. We hope to return one day."

"The accommodation was spotlessly clean and well presented, there was no contact with the owner so no problems, our only concern was the lack of a handrail on the stairs and the design of the top landing between the two upstairs rooms both need addressing. "

"We had to book at the last minute due to an emergency family vist in the area,Tracey who greeted us on a late arrival was very friendly and went out of her way to get us some food as the kitchen was closed when we arrived,it was much appreciated.lovely grounds to sit in on the outside and in.we had a dinner the next evening at Mickys dinner just 10 min up the road wich was recommended to us,nice friendly staff and nice food."
