"In short: one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Worst of all is the customer service. There was only one person at reception who spoke poor English. All the rest of the staff speak only German, all information and signs are in German. When checking in, we did not receive any information about amenities, facilities, absolutely nothing. "Das Zimmer bot fast alles was wichtig ist. Bei diesen hohen Temperaturen (über 30 Grad ) wäre vielleicht ein Ventilator nicht schlecht gewesen. Das Fenster ließ sich zwar öffnen, aber bei diesen Temperaturen nicht wirklich hilfreich. Vielleicht wäre auch eine Klimaanlage vernünftig. Ansonsten war unser Aufenthalt sehr gut."

"It was a really good and convenient place to stay. It is really close (walking distance) to the train station and to downtown where you find lots of places to shop and eat. The beautiful Christmas Market is also downtown if one goes during that season. The museums are close too- there is one actually right next to the hotel that is really nice- and transportation is a step away. I highly recommend it!"

"So many options for breakfast. Even fresh lemon for tea. Room clean and comfortable. Check in and out very easy. Was able to park right in front of hotel at no charge but they also have covered parking for a fee. "

"The service was terrible. We booked a room online that said SLEPT 4…. It was a queen sized bed, in a room with barely any walking room around the bed. Literally 2 people would have been squished, so we had to upgrade (since we had 2 children with us). Online it said that there were TWO restaurants on site (one was closed and they didn’t mention that).. online it also said they had childcare (they didnt) We were told free parking - it was 30 euro. No one spoke English. So frustrating....

"The checkin was really unprofessional, nothing was prepared, all data had to be filled out again on paper, the staff was absolutely not welcoming. They did not even inform me about a 25 EUR early checkin fee upfront. They gave me a room right above the smoking area. It smelled and was noisy. At the checkout they claimed I had breakfast. Never did and never ordered it. The front desk staff was not welcoming or friendly at all. Not what I expected at this house. Poor!"

"We stayed one night while travelling home. The hotel was very nice and clean. The only problem we had was it was very hot and we couldn’t turn the heating off. Would recommend this hot as the setting is beautiful and the surrounding are very quiet. "

"We were just passing through Altenburg staying for one night so booked this based on price rather than aesthetic appeal and had no expectations of greatness. We were very pleasantly surprised. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room was large and clean with a good bathroom. The bar also helped things along. Overall I would recommend this hotel, it is much better than the picture would suggest. "

"Poor customer service. I was locked outside wit another guest for 45 minutes. The number and the whatsapp answered but blew us off. It was night time and freezing. Luckily we found a way in. Building door doesn't always work correctly and they customer service as well"

"We had a fine stay in this property. The house is tidy. With a nice space around the house where kids can play with a trampoline and pool. One remark: the property is less appropriate for talll persons (> 1.90m) : the ceilings on the first floor are low as well as the shower. Also the beds are too short for tall people. You can make nice trips into the Erzgebirge and to cities as Dresden and Karlovy Vary. ther is enough intersting to see and do. I can recommend the holiday home"

"It was a really good and convenient place to stay. It is really close (walking distance) to the train station and to downtown where you find lots of places to shop and eat.
