"A little tucked away - so be aware not to drive by it quickly on the A55. Staff were excellent and the Burger King next door was great - the food was yummy (better than other BK's I've been too). Ideal location for onward trips to North Wales"

"The room was ok. Comfortable bed and as described. The bathroom likewise although maybe just starting to get slightly tired. But we only had one hand and one bath towel in there - we didn’t notice in the evening, then didn’t have time to ask and wait for any in the morning when we realised so had to just share… "

"What you want when you need a hotel for an overnight stay is warmth a decent TV and good beds and shower. Service is sort of secondary, however this hotel hit the mark everywhere. Well sized rooms a really good large TV and free room WiFi. It also didn't break the bank, hats off to them .. I would go back there in a heartbeat "

"The room was very spacious and comfortable. The property is old (steeped in history) but the room had all the features we needed. The instructions were excellent and the owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. The bed was a little creaky and the pillows were a little thin/soft for my preferences, but perfectly comfortable and adequate. Great value for money. Great location. Highly recommend the breakfast!! A great stay - would stay again. "

"Very handy for motorway on our route southwest. Comfortable bed, tea/ coffee / milk supplied in room, also hairdryer. Good shower though found it difficult to get shampoo and body wash out of container on wall. Lovely towels. TV was not working. Room was spotlessly clean and comfortably warm. Recommend"

"Good clean basic hotel. Comfortable rooms. It’s a bit dated and furniture in rooms is tired but would stay again. All the staff I dealt with (reception, lady and a man) breakfast staff, room staff and bar staff were all friendly, helpful and lovely to deal with. "

"All in all amazing experience, food was delicious the chef couldnt do more for me (i have coeliac disease & dairy intolerance), everything was made fresh. All staff were nice, friendly and couldnt do anymore for us, lovely people. The bed for me was ok but partner slept like a baby, the rooms were beautiful if you like that kind of decoration. Could do with a little tlc over the hotel but where doesnt. Will honestly be coming back again !! Made our little break away magical ✨️ "

"We stayed in a family room. It was motel style as in you have a private entrance. This was great as we brought our dog. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer even a small fridge and a good sized TV. Everything we needed. The bar was lovely and reasonable, however I was unaware it closed when a function is on and I found this a little disappointing. The function is loud but did finish at exactly 12. Fully recommend and will stay again as it’s great for us visiting family. "

Amazing Spa Hotel

"Amazing Spa hotel, we were looked after from arriving to leaving. We were upgraded FOC from a 4 poster to the suite which was amazing, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the spa was great and staff again were brilliant. We ate in the restaurant which was really nice with a great selection. Our room/suite was huge and we loved having it. We would definitely recommend this place"

"Great base for exploring North Wales and Chester. Loved the kitchen area. The huge table was excellent for playing games around. Kitchen had everything we needed for 14 of us. Loved that each room had their own bathroom. Would have liked an additional towel per room. Some of the TVs didn't work but we didn't use them so it didn't make a difference to us. Mattresses were a little uncomfortable but still managed to get a decent sleep. Extra pillows would have been nice too. Excellent communication from host. Would recommend for large groups. Very close to Flint train station."

"Lovely accommodation set In beautiful gardens. Surrounded by a golf course with wild sheep roaming. Couldn’t ask for a better well equipped accommodation. Easy access to the A55 to explore north wales. The owner is very friendly and obliging without being to obtrusive. Without a doubt I would book to come and stay here again. 10 out of 10. "
