"Pros: beautiful apartment with a spectacular view of the ocean and harbor. Comfortable beds and furniture and a balcony that was like a gateway to heaven. The host was friendly and happy to help. Had many unexpected extras like beach towels, sunscreen and an XBox. Cons: getting to the apartment was like climbing a very crumbly road to the top of Mt. Everest. It was not easy to get to and the cab drivers took full advantage of the fact that the climb up was difficult on foot and charged an arm...

"We really enjoyed our time at this house. The owner was very nice and met us at the ferry to allow us to follow him to the home. Driving on St John can be challenging on your first trip so this was appreciated! The roads are narrow and steep and they drive on the left. After a day or so, I was getting the hang of it. It was a bit intimidating on day 1. The drive from the house to Cruz Bay was an easy 10 minutes, once I became used to driving. The house was comfortable and had a great view...

"We had a wonderful week stay here. The pool definitely was a plus with everyone. We brought our daughter, her friend, our son and his wife it was so nice to each have their own private space. We had power outages daily but they had a generator so that was great, the owners were great when we had questions especially during TS Ernesto. We rented a big 4 wheel drive truck to hold everything and it was needed to get up the hills. Wr wanted a house to be away from “the city” and we didn’t mind...

"The first thing you will notice is the fantastic view of Coral Bay, but there is so much more to love about Casa Ya Ya. The proximity to restaurants and stores, the patio and pool, the kitchen with every appliance/accessory you need...I could go on and on. The owners and the on-island crew are helpful and available whenever you need something. This was our second time at this property and we can't wait to come back."

"The host was gracious enough to let our large extended family enjoy their new rental as they get it re-furnished and refreshed. What a beautiful island escape with amazing privacy and plenty of spaces indoor and out to spread out (or come together)! The location is perfect with easy access up to the famous northern beaches or quick drive over to our favorite island town, Cruz Bay. A true island gem!"

"The house is gorgeous and the scenery is breathtaking. We had little issues in the beginning because there wasn’t any propane for the oven, stove, or grill but the owner got someone in that day. The generator doesn’t always turn on during the power outages but doesn’t last more than a few hours. Besides that we had a great time!"
