"Oyster Shell cottage is an ideal location to park the vehicle for the duration and walk to just about anywhere for food, shopping, pier, lighthouse, beach, or whatever in the village. The cottage itself is enjoyable with the shaded front porch, sitting areas, and super comfortable bed (at least in the one we tried in the master bedroom). Not having to drive everywhere was ideal because 1) we had already spent plenty of time in the vehicle to get there and 2) the roads are pretty crowded in St. Simons. Oyster Cottage was fantastic. All arrangements were exactly as indicated. We had zero troubles checking-in, staying, or checking out. Thank you. "

"The style of the property was really nice. Very conveniently located to shops amd restaurants and right across the street from the beach. What i did not like was the stains on the couch in our room amd rhe restaurant food was not the best. The waitresses and entertainment were great but food not so much. There was also what looked to be blood on one of the bed pillows."

" This unit had a beautiful view of the ocean from the front porch. Clean. Well Lit. Nice. Comfortable. A/C was loud when it was on and it would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom. Neither of those are problems, really. We were woken up Friday morning at 8AM by banging, hammering and circle-saw...guys were replacing the railing on the deck above us. It was irritating, but I get it & it looked like they were almost finished, so my grand-daughter and I got up and went to the beach. When we came back from the beach the workers had moved downstairs and had torn off our front porch railing and were sitting on our chairs, with a microwave on our table outside having lunch! One guy on speaker, with presumed HOA, telling guy to "build it back exactly like it was." I texted property mgt we felt it inconsiderate to tear down our porch occupied. They replied they did not know this and immediately contacted the HOA. HOA said railing was "out of code" and that they would be gone in a few moments. Guys left for an hour, then came and stayed all day Friday, coming back Saturday to haul off the old railing/nails. Property manager was apologetic for being unaware, but ultimately was not able to remedy the situation. We likely won't stay here again, only because of the inconsiderate behavior of the HOA, not because of the property, the property mgt. or the Unit and it's beautiful location. It was Easter weekend and we paid for that space for that time, once a year. "
