"The area is very peaceful with garden walls for privacy. The manager of the property Janet is very sweet and helpful. It is also not far from anything you want to do if you are able rent a car for your stay, but be prepared for potholes. "

"The house is beautiful and ideally located on the west coast of Barbados - near to the beach and several good restaurants. It is very clean, with every amenity you could want included. The outdoor areas and pool are well maintained and clean too. We had a wonderful holiday! A gem!"

"Perfect location, safe, walkable to Holetown. All bedrooms have A/C, and has everything you could think of—shampoo, conditioner, snorkeling gear, kids games, tennis rackets, literally you name it!! Sarah was sooo friendly, the dryer stopped working and I texted her and she was at the property within an hour and had someone out to fix it within 3 hours!! "

"Amenities were just what we needed for an 11 night stay. Grounds are beautiful, and close by to everything that we needed. Getting to sit out in the porch in the mornings eating breakfast just listening to the birds and getting to see the monkeys was perfect. Beach isn’t more than a 5-10 minute drive depending on what scene you are looking for. It was a great stay! "

"We spent 2 weeks at Ancient grove and absolutely loved it. There were 10 in our party including 3 small children and the place was just brilliant. The size of the property was great for such a large group we were able to have all our meals together looking out over one of the most stunning views. "Our trip to Barbados was absolutely perfect. Communicating w host was 10/10, and the house was perfect for our needs. We really loved the extra bathrooms and outside shower, as well as the balcony over the master bedroom. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space with us. We had such a fabulous time. "

"Beautiful property just on the beach with lovely snorkelling at your doorstep. Fantastic sunsets every night from the patio. Everyone very friendly and helpful especially Smiley! Property manager Mike very quick to respond to any questions we had. The lady who cleans also very nice and helpful. Would recommend to anyone who loves the beach, snorkelling. Cocktails from the beach bar next door."

"Wow!! We had an amazing week at The Soco. The hospitality, the staff, the food was amazing. Each room had a sea view and is equipped for all you need on an AI stay. The location was ideal for us, the hotel is at the of the boardwalk so you could chose to either drink and eat at the hotel or visit one of the bars and restaurants along the front. Which means you can have a quiet or louder night depending on your mood. The food at the hotel was excellent so we had no issues eating most meals at the hotel. The service was top level and the staff (and general manger) went above and beyond to make our stay the best experience. Some people have mentioned the road noise in the reviews- yes you can hear the road as the hotel is on the main coast road, but this never bothered us and we slept so well! The hotel is boutique with only 24rooms (approx) so the staff get to know you and your preferences and the bartenders knew what drinks to make without us asking LOL In summary - my husband and I have a policy to never stay in the same place or hotel twice as we think the world is too small to repeat a visit - but we would stay at The Soco in Barbados again and already thinking about another visit never year- for us that is top marks!!"

"The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was amazing with a wide variety for vegetarians. The beach that the hotel is located on is beautiful, the water is so blue and clear. Overall an excellent stay, we would highly recommend Sugar Bay. "

"Very friendly front desk reception and bellmen. We so appreciated the visitor lounge to change to go to beach prior to room being ready. Equally convenient after check out , we used the showers before leaving to airport. A wonderful plus! We fully enjoyed the restaurants on site. Great value and delicious!"
