"Great value accommodation, the evening menu is varied and very reasonably priced, we had curries which were delicious, good selection of beers and lagers . The breakfast which was included is brilliant, you select what you want the night before and it includes cereals, full English, fish and yoghurt and fruit. The bed was comfortable, room and en-suite very clean. This is a great place to stay "

"The Knighton Hotel is quiet and well-located. Unfortunately, they don't do meals, although they do have a coffee shop, which I didn’t try as I was out allday walking. The evening I arrived there was a leak through the inspection hatch in the ceiling of my room. When I reported it I was instantly moved to another and larger room (turned out the leak was coming from the shower in the room above). Good service there. "23A High Street is a timber framed mid terrace cottage with ancient beams exposed inside. It is highly decorated with knickknacks with a hare theme.Knighton is a small very hilly quiet town. I had no difficulty finding free street parking, but spaces are limited. Tom loves to meet new guests, and he allows them free use of his well equipped kitchen. I will go again if there is another log show at Builth Wells (40 minutes drive) "

"I was in Knighton for a wedding and had a great stay at The Red Lion. The owners were very welcoming and nice to chat to, the room was simple but nice and clean, the hotel is in a great location and breakfast was great. I wish I had stayed longer after seeing how lovely the surrounding area is!"

"We stayed in the yurt for 2 nights. "A lovely little cottage, well located for outdoor activities - walking, biking or running. Good pub grub across the road, so no need to drive out after a busy day exploring the beautiful countryside. The cottage is comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Any problems were quickly & easily solved with the host. Thank you for a great stay."

Superb 1 bedroom apartment in Church Stretton!!

Not really impressed

"The property was very damp/wet and looked to have water/mold problem on the living room wall near an electrical outlet as well as moldy areas in the bathroom. They could use bigger or more towels as they didn’t dry due to the dampness of the property. There were also way too many spiders for me! The only thing we loved about the property was the location. "

All we needed for a short stay

"We were happy with the accommodation - only used for B&B as we live locally and had a full house of family staying. The flat was well appointed and decorated and the lowish ceilings not a problem for us being under 6' tall."

Shepherds Hut stay

"We were luck enough to have an earlier check in and the check in was easy and everything ready for us on our arrival. We had ordered a breakfast hamper of local produce and all was ready in the hut. The hut was bigger than it looks and plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 small dogs. Everything you could think of was in the hut. We didn’t use the underfloor heating or the log burner as the hut was really warm without it. The hot tub was amazing and was so easy to use by ourselves. Doesn’t take a lot to get to a nice temperature, was lovely watching the sky late at night from the hot tub. One thing perhaps missing would be some sort of glass holder whilst in the tub, not essential though! It was such a peaceful and lovely setting even with neighbours in the other huts, you never really heard or saw them unless out on a dog walk. Amazing and will definitely book again - thanks Tam!"
