One of the owners, Ted Stourton always seemed to be around checking that everything was ok, even at dinner moving from table to table, engaging with guests. Food was superb although menu was small. "The staff were really friendly and very helpful. Everyone was so welcoming to us and my dog. The room was spacious and warm. The bar was funny, playing Coronation Street on the big TV on Friday night was an unexpected vibe! The pool, sauna and steam room were lovely and warm, clean and inviting. However the changing rooms could do with an update! And no coffee machine working for morning coffees or espresso martinis was gutting! The grounds were lovely with a little woodland walk to take the pup...

"We stayed at Beagle Cottage in March for 4 nights with our 2 dogs- what a lovely house, really spectacular views, great garden and really well equipped kitchen and amenities.We loved sitting in the sunny living space, we were able to sit in the garden overlooking Bude and the coast, the beds were comfy & cosy.The local pub is great (booking advised!) and it’s really conveniently located for Bude and the surrounding destinations.We will be back!
