"This is an extraordinary hotel, a colourful and unique oasis in the middle of bustling kochi. The rooms were beautiful and large and cool with a hot shower and comfortable beds. The pool and communal areas were also gorgeous and tranquil. Breakfast was fine, a good selection. Staff were great also. The afternoon snacks were delightful and a really appreciated extra. The fresh lime soda from the bar was amazing. It is quite noisy as it is in the middle of the town so cars horns and dog barking...

"Large room with three separate beds but non-functional. Yes, I understand that they have a room available not meant to be a hotel room, but why not rent out to make money. AC and WiFi non functional. Dark closed room. Couldn’t open windows. Needed to keep lights on. Dirty unusable wooden cabinet with age-old newspapers strewn as shelf liner. Folks, clean up the cabinet, paint and use store bought regular shelf liner but never those dirty newspapers. No place to put luggage even for one person....

"This is a great hotel on the waterfront in Fort Kochi. It is a marvellous restoration of this old boatyard to create a very colonial feel. There are some nice touches to take advantage of such as high tea at 5pm each day followed by a guided tour of the harbour on the hotel’s very nice boat. All the staff were excellent but I give particular thanks to Arun who could not do enough for us. Rooms overlook communal courtyard - big and spacious. Clean bathrooms and no issue with bugs (except mosquitos but they are everywhere in Cochin). Cons: Bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty upon arrival (some had stains) "

"My stay here was one of the best of all in the many countries I have visited , mainly due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners Maryann and Philip. The rooms are clean and comfortable with fan and a/c if you want it. There are nice breakfasts also as an option. I stayed 4 days and felt like a member of the family by the time I left. I can thoroughly recommend this homestay."
