Pelican - Pool and Heated Spa, Walk to the Beach!

Cozy one bedroom downstairs unit by the beach. House is located at the end of a quiet street with no through traffic. This unit is located less than one minute walk to the beach in the heart of Butler Beach in St. Augustine. Wonderful neighborhood with quick access to shops and restaurants. Pool is accessible to our guests year-round and is heated 8 months of the year (not heated Nov - Feb). Downtown St. Augustine is only a 10 minute drive away.

This apartment is located on the first floor of a new three story house. Owners occupy part of the first floor and all of the second and third floors. The house sits on a hill, which you will need to walk up from where you park. Please ask us about it if you have mobility limitations. We allow our guests to use the pool and try to give them their space. Of course sometimes we do use our own pool! The hot tub is heated on demand and our guests may use the hot tub once at no charge. After that we have a fee.

The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill.

Butler Beach, where this house is located, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the northeast of Florida. It’s an expansive white powder beach! You’ll find fisherman, bikers when the tide recedes, walkers, surfers, kite boarders, shell gatherers, and of course sun bathers! St. Augustine city center, only 10 minutes north, is the most ancient, gorgeous city in Florida...and America for that matter! It hosts restaurants, stunning historic churches, some of the finest art galleries and a myriad of chic boutique shops. The first Friday of every month features an Art Walk, where some galleries even serve refreshments and stay open in the evening. As you walk cobble stone streets you have opportunity to explore history all around you, often hearing church bells. You can sight see through horse and buggy or trolley tours, or just shop til you drop! You will want to return year after year!

We have two beach chairs available for use at the property. The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you.

Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.

We do not heat the hot tub during tropical storms or hurricanes. We don't offer refunds or reschedule stays during hurricane season, even if there is an evacuation order. Please purchase trip insurance for your stay if this is a concern.

EV Charging: There is a fee of $5 per day if you will be charging an electric vehicle at the home. If we see a vehicle being charged and the guest has not been paid the fee, we will be billing the guest for that fee or taking it from the damage deposit.
