"Three brothers and two wives met at the Lake House for the Sand Hill Crane Festival in Birchwood. First, the festival was so interesting and fun and a must do if you like birds. Second, the cabin was fabulous! It was a cold weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy. The bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils; the view of the dock and lake were fabulous. We saw hundreds of sand hill cranes closer up than at the festival viewing site! It was too cold...

"We were showing horses in Harriman at the Roane State Arena. We didn’t get to spend much daylight time at the house but it would be the most beautiful place to take your family, sit around a camp fire and enjoy some nice weather and let the kids entertain themselves nearby in the rock bottom creek. Since we had other things going on, we were thankful for a quiet place to stay. There are no neighbors we could see, no loud noises other than the waterfalls outback. I spoke with the owner twice....

"Enjoyed staying in the historic cottage. We even saw a picture of the same cottage in the Cumberland mountain state park museum!! We thought that was really neat!"

"The home was more beautiful than described. The view of the lake was spectactular. Enjoyed seeing so much wildlife from waterfowl, eagles, songbirds to deer from the cozy and warm den. Very private but meeting an occasional neighbor walking their dog was nice too. For those looking for a summer vacation this home would be perfect as well. I came to attend the Tennessee Sandhill Crane Festival which was great. "

"Very cute. Very clean. Great location for us as we went to Nashville, Gatlinburg, Knoxville, and a couple of the national parks. Check in and out was easy. And that was good because it was my 1st Vrbo experience. Having the washer and dryer was nice and now i dont have all of it to do when i get home. Grill was nice too. We did have a herd of deer run thru the backyardthrubyard"
