"Ok, so the place is architecturally stunning (if you like minimalism as we do) and in a beautiful setting. However, we arrived after dark and there were no exterior lights on whatsoever and it made our arrival quite difficult finding our way in the very dark of a winter night. "The Residhome Lyon Gerland had large one bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. We faced the inner courtyard and the room was quiet. There are cafes and a grocery store across the street. Subway is right outside hotel. Good value."

"I am used to a campervan so having all the kitchen facilities and a safe suited me perfectly. The double bed was wide and firm. It wasn’t possible to have a cleaner for the six nights we stayed and I enjoyed the sense of privacy that allowed. The downside was that I had to run the hoover and put the rubbish out myself. Best to bring a dish towel and a kitchen sink plug too because you don’t want the dish-washer on all the time. Some reviews say the Residence needs an update but I enjoyed the...

"The Fourviere is a staggeringly lovely hotel in a beautifully renovated period property. Our room had a great view of the Cathederal and was easy walking distance from both funiculars. The breakfast was very good and offered lots of options to suit my dairy intolerance. The indoor spa and outdoor heated pool were very relaxing. "
