"Not been back home to Southport in twenty years. I wanted a hotel just off the beaten track. Leicester road, know it well. Service is all about time, skill and dedication and after a lifetime in catering. You get that at the Leicester hotel. Special thanks to the chef, great breakfast as I never got to thank you in person. Thanks for the coffee tip. Thank you great stay, all the best."

"We had a lovely stay at The Stamford, the room was well furnished, modern, clean with a very comfy big bed. It is in a great location and self check in was simple to follow."

"When we arrived we were greeted as we parked up and our bags were taken to our room which was on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and fresh. We were given a time for breakfast with a variety of options. Food was delicious, hot and well presented. The owners were always available until 7pm and very helpful about where to go if eating out or wanting entertainment. We would definately recommend and stay again however as sisters in our 70's we would ask for a room on the lower floor."

"On checking in we were not told that there would be no housekeeping on Saturday or Sunday. We had tiny bottles of toiletries between two for 4 days. Tea/ coffee service was there but the cups were not changed every day and we ran out of supplies. And bed was not made Really bad value I’m afraid. "

"Disappointed with this hotel. Not at all what the website portrayed. The room had a damp stale smell. The sheets were clean but the rest of the bed furniture looked dirty. The whole room was shabby. The mug and spoon on the tray was dirt. The towels looked clean but had a damp feel. I wanted to leave but had paid quite a lot of money as I wanted to be comfortable. The website indicated there was gym & pool facilities which turned out to be access to a local gym, pool with a pass. "

"We spent 4 nights at The Braemar Hotel, Michael the host was there to greet us, he gave us local information of where to eat etc. We were travelling to Liverpool by train for the day and he was very helpful by giving directions to the train station and times of trains etc. The hotel itself was lovely, clean and had all the extras to make our stay comfortable. Always on hand if we needed anything, a very delightful and friendly place to stay! We intend to return for another visit as it was a...
