"This was a fantastic boutique hotel with friendly, helpful staff that were always available. The pop art decor with the high ceilings, original bank elements, historic woodwork & modern accents were blended perfectly to create a wonderful cohesion of history and modern chic. A perfect match for the city of Montreal. Breakfast croissants were fresh & we loved the offerings of Latte/Cappuccino instead of just regular coffee. Short walk to public transit, dining & shops. "Our stay at Penny Lane was good - easy to access, underground parking garage across the road with shops and lots of food options nearby. The apartment is slightly outdated and could use some touch-ups. One negative was that the curtains in the room could not be closed, as they were quite high to reach and you could tell that they had been tugged at repeatedly as the brackets were coming out of the wall. We did not want to risk any further damage, so we left them as-is which let some light into...

"Excellent neighbourhood location. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants in the area. Subway location very close. Front desk a bit chilly in attitude but accommodating nonetheless. Good value for Montreal. "

"The room was large and clean. The breakfast had several options to choose from and their bagels werr especially delicious. The hotel is walking distance to the Old Port, downtown, universities, and Mont Royal."

"The unit was very nice and the area is central. There are all kinds of restaurants nearby and public transportation is about a 5 minute walk away. The only negatives were the quality of the toilet paper(like sandpaper), the shower head was awful, a lack of hooks to hang towels on in the bathroom, no hooks or closet to hang jacket or coats and no tea towel for the kitchen. "
