"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money. "Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. "The hotel was conveniently placed for a function I was attending. I contacted the owner to discuss a slightly earlier check in..no problem at all. On arrival we were greeted and made welcome by the owner. A spacious room with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent. Top quality ingredients and all in all a great experience "

"Nice stay at the Arc. Kim is a friendly host. Room was a little cold but a supplementary heater was provided which made it cosier. Recommend it for access to central Harrogate. Bars and restaurants all close by. Parking was a bit difficult and Limited to on street but limited by a permit from the establishment. "

"Read mixed reviews before my stay. Found it quite pleasant. Some people may find access outside of bar hours difficult as it’s via the fire escape. Location is good. A short walk to city centre & plenty of places to eat & drink in the immediate vicinity. It’s an old building but room was clean & adequately furnished & decorated. "
