The Space:
Extended families or large groups of friends will feel at home here in our comfortable, scenic and quiet retreat. Note the exterior is monitored by a security camera and parties are not permitted. Extra guests must be requested and approved in advance.
Fully equipped for year-round living with wood stove and furnace heat to warm up after winter skating, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Air conditioning will keep you cool on hot summer nights, after roasting marshmallows to the sound of the loons.
The quaint village of Westport is a scenic 20 min drive away. Westport offers all of the amenities including; grocery, pharmacy, bank, bakery and hardware store. Westport also boasts its own micro brewery, vineyard and a fantastic musical hub, hailing artists from across the country.
Firewood and water are included with the rental as well as a barbecue. Other amenities include washer, dryer, dishwasher, two fridges with freezer compartments, microwave, stove, a popcorn maker, bullet for smoothies, a trampoline, a children's outdoor jungle gym and an insulated and powered/heated bunkhouse with 4 single beds (2 bunks). The three bathrooms each have radiant floor heating. Main floor bathroom has a wheelchair accessible doorway and a shower with bench and railings for accessibility. Our home can host two to three families and has exceptional lakefront access - no cliff, easy walk, private west-facing sandy beach, a dock for swimming and boats, and there is access to a canoe and three kayaks.
This is a beautiful, fully insulated four season home. A nature retreat well positioned to access larger cities with Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal, and Toronto nearby.
Note: The two singles noted in bedroom 3 are convertible chair cushions. They form a couch and can be taken apart into single beds.
