"The cabin was huge and very roomy. You're a short walk away from the water, so you can float or kayak all day or have your boat come and pick you up at the shore. We had a slight issue with one of the beds, but the owners were on top of it and very kind. "

"My husband and I wanted a private location we could relax at and were not disappointed. The cabin was very clean, nicely furnished, and was everything we were looking for. The coffee bar was a very nice addition. The hot tub was clean and extremely relaxing as well. We had never played pickle ball but how can you say no to a private court! "Herons Cove is EXACTLY how it appears! Very clean, spacious, private and cozy! Chris was the PERFECT host! He was very accommodating when we learned that our original booking for our traditional family Penn State game weekend had been sold. We met him upon arrival as he was blowing the leaves off of the driveway and basketball court for us. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. A chilled bottle of wine greeted us as we entered the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Herons...

"To explain the ratings: I am a native of Huntingdon and the description of how close the property is to Juniata College, the hospital, and town is really erroneous. The location is beautiful, peaceful and quiet but it is a six mile drive to Huntingdon or a six mile drive to Cornpropst Mills on very windy, but paved, narrow roads. I know the road because I learned to drive on it, but it isn't for the faint of heart, especially at dark. I knew the shortcut roads, but I bet not many other visitors...
