"We stayed here for a week as a base of exploration for this region. A few days exploring Coimbra and a few days day-tripping around the region. Great apartment! It is on the next "ring" out from the city center. City center is too crazy to drive and park so we stayed here. On-street parking is available. One has to hunt, but we always found something nearby. It is a bit of a walk to city center, but OK for those fit and willing. 10 minutes uphill to the Botanical Garden, and 10 minutes...

"Very beautiful property near heart of Coimbra. Host was great to communicate with. We asked about a Fado recommendation and she provided an excellent option - we really enjoyed it. Parking was a challenge but it always is in the cities, so you just have to be ready to adapt. "

"The location of this apartment is right in the middle of the action. Grocery and laundry are minutes away. The listing advertises room for 3, but definitely not 3 adults. The folding bed (stored in the stairwell) is only 165cm (5'6") long, so not good for anyone but a child. When we arrived the third bed was outside the apartment and no bedding or towels for a third person was supplied. "The apartment is within steps (literally) of the town market, the Elevator to the university, and the main pedestrian plaza. It faces a pedestrian alley and is quiet at night. "We loved the location and the apartment. It’s tough to get to if you’re driving into Coimbra but worth it since it offers easy access to many main attractions, restaurants, shops, etc. It’s on the top floor so the ceilings would be an issue for someone over 6 ft tall but it was such a great location we’d definitely go back."

"This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day.
