"Very safe as use a key card for the lift and main entrance after 10pm. Staff were wonderful and so friendly. Room immaculate and beds comfy. Beautiful views over the hills. Breakfast was excellent. Eggs made on request and everything you could wish for at the buffet. Lovely and quiet. Would recommend."

"I did read mixed reviews on this property - however, if you are properly aware before you book, you will enjoy it. The gasthaus is separate from the pretty building with the restaurant in it. (About 200 yards downhill). You can park at no charge up behind the restaurant but then it is a hike to where your room is. "Nice place to stay in the Black Forest region. Clean comfortable room. Check in was a small challenge due to language barrier, but quickly done. Restaurant food and service was great. There is no elevator to second floor in one building, so be prepared to carry your luggage up the set of stairs. The St Margen cloister museum nearby is a must see for any clock enthusiasts."

"Stayed here, as I had a meeting in the town and my customer recommended this hotel. My room was enormous, and given my late arrival time (after 9pm), the staff in the kitchen (despite it having closed) made food for me as I was starving. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I didn't check out the gym but if the rooms are anything to go by, this will be one of the best hotel gyms I have been to. Parking was also free, which was a big bonus and plenty of space available."

"Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable."

"Very comfortable, very clean and modern rooms. Yet there are heirlooms all over the buildings that you will never see anywhere else. The hotel is quiet and comforting. The restaurant had a great breakfast and dinner options were extensive. All the food was very well prepared. Drink options are exceptional and there is an extensive wine list. All that aside, the staff makes this place. Super nice people, very knowledgeable, and very helpful."
