"When we arrived, we were told that they did not hold a booking for us, as Expedia had cancelled our booking!!. It took over 4 hours for the hotel, myself and a guy from Expedia in the USA to semi resolve the issue. The hotel were wonderful, Expedia were blatant liars as they told the hotel that they had informed us of the cancellation, and had booked us into another hotel. Shame on you Expedia!! As the hotel had restricted accommodation left for our visit, we had to rearrange via Expedia to stay in another hotel for part of our stay. Unlikely to be using Expedia again which is very unfortunate as we have used them on numerous occasions over the years."

"A beautiful house in a stunning, tranquil location. A Great host and lots of places to visit nearby. We will definitely be returning. "

"We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with such a stunning view. It was listed as 8 adult and 2 children but I would say it only slept 9 comfortably. Two beds were crammed into a tiny room which wasn’t ideal. Otherwise it was warm, and very well equipped. "

"Our family of 7 had a great time. The modern house was comfortable and worked well for us.We had some lovely walks by the many lakes and waterways and made good use of the swimming pool and sauna. We really appreciated being able to walk right from the front door into lovely countryside. The beds in the property were very comfortable and the house was warm. It would have been helpful if more than 4 coffee pods had been provided for 7 adults for a 3 night stay and if kitchen roll and a spare bin bag and adequate loo roll were also provided. Some shower gel would also have been welcome. By the 3rd night, the hot tub smelt so bad we couldn’t use it, despite us following instructions. "

"Lovely location with enough local attractions to occupy us even in winter. Cottage warm and welcoming needs new mattresses on the bunks and more hooks to hang damp coats. Improvement to upstairs shower required . This did not hamper our stay"

"Nice traditional cottage in Mill Village. Good location in the village near to the lakes and cottage is larger than it looks especially upstairs. Good communication in advance and throughout"

"We were a group of 7 staying (4 adults, 3 children) for 3 nights. The cottage had everything we could need. There are 2 bedrooms perfectly set up for kids with the other 2 for adults. The bathrooms were decent and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more, although some cupboard space to store our food would have been nice.The outdoor dining space was very peaceful and pretty although a little overlooked. The estate is beautiful and the cottage is very close to the activity hub, spa, pool, tennis courts, playgrounds and restaurant. Table tennis and tennis equipment hire was very cheap but be quick to book the tennis courts as by the time we went to book they were fully booked for the week! A couple of pointers for others staying on the estate: - The spa is wonderful! Two of us went for a head massage which was reasonably priced and very relaxing - highly recommend! - The pool is fantastic. It was the highlight of the trip for our kids. - The restaurant / bar has good quality food & drinks but we found the service to be painfully slow. We went for lunch when we arrived, there were only 2 other tables eating and we waited over half an hour for each course. Make sure you book if you want to have dinner there. We’d recommend The Bakers Arms pub, a 15 min walk away. Great food, great service and there’s a pizza oven in the garden. - We found that the on site shop was severely lacking in basics so make sure to bring everything with you! "

"We’ve been to this estate before so we know how beautiful it is, such an incredible holiday! The only issue is that the listing stated that the property was 4 bedrooms and when we arrived one of those bedrooms had a sofa bed, as I have 3 children it was all a bit of a squeeze! It was fine in the end. The one thing I would say is that whilst the property was beautiful and the location stunning (excellent addition was the lake access directly from the property, eventually when they had cut the brambles back a little!) but the storage in the children's bedrooms (the twin and the snug) was really lacking. There wasn't really enough space to put all of their clothes, we ended up having them all in the second double room. The air conditioning was a lovely addition! Thank you for a lovely holiday, it was just a shame about the 4th bedroom! "

"We came from Canada to visit family and this was the ideal place! Charming, warm, well-equipped cottage with comfy beds and lots of room to entertain. We could invite family and friends over to the restaurant, or get wonderful frozen dishes at the resort store, plus wine and ice cream. Everywhere was level and paved so our less mobile visitors were able to join us on walks."
