"We loved the location and house - really beautiful view from the porch over the lake, warm and cozy Well equipped house although it is looking a bit tired and in need of some painting My main negative comment is that the cost of the clean is rather large - and the house was not as clean as I would have expected. The dishwasher filter and arms were completely blocked and definitely had not been cleaned for a long time and the upstairs bath plug was blocked with horrible black hairs ..."

"Very large property, a long walk reception from high numbered rooms, toilet in en-suite did not flush properly, bath/shower sprayed out making the bathroom floor very slippery .. otherwise a very friendly & clean.."

"We were a group of 7 staying (4 adults, 3 children) for 3 nights. The cottage had everything we could need. There are 2 bedrooms perfectly set up for kids with the other 2 for adults. The bathrooms were decent and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need and more, although some cupboard space to store our food would have been nice.The outdoor dining space was very peaceful and pretty although a little overlooked. The estate is beautiful and the cottage is very close to the activity hub, spa, pool, tennis courts, playgrounds and restaurant. Table tennis and tennis equipment hire was very cheap but be quick to book the tennis courts as by the time we went to book they were fully booked for the week! A couple of pointers for others staying on the estate: - The spa is wonderful! Two of us went for a head massage which was reasonably priced and very relaxing - highly recommend! - The pool is fantastic. It was the highlight of the trip for our kids. - The restaurant / bar has good quality food & drinks but we found the service to be painfully slow. We went for lunch when we arrived, there were only 2 other tables eating and we waited over half an hour for each course. Make sure you book if you want to have dinner there. We’d recommend The Bakers Arms pub, a 15 min walk away. Great food, great service and there’s a pizza oven in the garden. - We found that the on site shop was severely lacking in basics so make sure to bring everything with you! "

"We’ve been to this estate before so we know how beautiful it is, such an incredible holiday! The only issue is that the listing stated that the property was 4 bedrooms and when we arrived one of those bedrooms had a sofa bed, as I have 3 children it was all a bit of a squeeze! It was fine in the end. The one thing I would say is that whilst the property was beautiful and the location stunning (excellent addition was the lake access directly from the property, eventually when they had cut the brambles back a little!) but the storage in the children's bedrooms (the twin and the snug) was really lacking. There wasn't really enough space to put all of their clothes, we ended up having them all in the second double room. The air conditioning was a lovely addition! Thank you for a lovely holiday, it was just a shame about the 4th bedroom! "

"We came from Canada to visit family and this was the ideal place! Charming, warm, well-equipped cottage with comfy beds and lots of room to entertain. We could invite family and friends over to the restaurant, or get wonderful frozen dishes at the resort store, plus wine and ice cream. Everywhere was level and paved so our less mobile visitors were able to join us on walks."
