"The hosts were wonderful, friendly and very good cook. Plus, he is a fabulous musician playing the luth after dinner and singing with his wife for our delight! "This house was so adorable! We were running extremely late do to a change in our flight but the owner stayed up to greet us. She showed us around the village and where the stores were. Even offered to check on us if we needed it. The house itself was cozy and well kept. We had the pleasure of having a nice dog hang out outside our door. "Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. "
