Rimfire Lodge 310 - 311 - Deluxe 2 Bedroom in the Village

Privately owned Deluxe 2 bedroom condo located in Rimfire Lodge, the heart of Snowshoe's mountaintop village. The 2 bedroom sleeps 7 and has 2 bathrooms. Condo offer a spectacular western mountain views with fantastic sunsets, gas fireplace, full kitchen, and much more.

The lodge offers direct slope access (ski-in/ski-out), ski and bike lockers, outdoor hot tubs, sauna, fitness room, Alpenglow Hearth room, restaurants, shopping and heated underground parking garage. Rimfire Lodge is adjacent to Snowshoe's Split Rock Aqua Center.

Snowshoe Mountain Resort is considered the premier ski resort east of the Rocky Mountains and south of New England. In addition to the skiing, there are many winter activities and events to choose from including tubing down the Coca-Cola Tube Park, a snowmobile tour, or a snowcat tour.

The following statistics will help you understand the mountain: 180' average snowfall, 60 trails ranging from beginner to expert, 2 expert trails with 1500’ vertical drop and 1.5 miles long, 100% snowmaking on 260 acres of terrain, night skiing on 12 trails at the Silver Creek Ski area. 3 high-speed detachable quad lifts, 2 fixed quad lifts, and 6 triple lifts. For the smallest skiers check out the magic carpet lift at Snowshoe and Silver Creek.

Snowshoe Mountain is a four-season resort. During the summer when temperatures almost never reach 80, play the Gary Player designed Raven Golf Course rated 'top 100 in the country' by Golf magazine. Bike and hike the miles of trails that Snowshoe offers on their 11,000 acres. Canoe, kayak or paddlebike on Shaver's lake. Let the kids spend the day at the Wildcat Adventure Camp, Ride the Hare Racer Zipline, Eurobungie, or wall-climbing. Enjoy scenic lift rides, sport clays, wilderness Segway tours, Polaris RZR tours and guided horseback rides. There are many other summer activities and events to choose from. From mid September through October view the fall foliage.

Deposits:
A minimum deposit 50% of the rate is required to secure the reservation. The balance is due at least 30 days prior to check-in date.

Cancellations and refunds:
Cancellations made 60 days or more prior to check-in date shall be subject to a $50 administration fee. The balance of your deposit will be refunded. Cancellations made less than 60 days of check-in date will result in forfeiture of total deposit. Cancellations made less than 30 days of check-in date will result in forfeiture of total payment.

This was a great property, very clean, comfortable, and spacious. An ideal location to hit the slopes and take advantage of the Village amenities. Also, a fantastic view of the sunset. The property owner is very responsive and friendly.

This was the perfect condo for skiers. Lots of hooks to hang your ski clothes on, hooks in the bathroom for swim suits. Lots of DVD's to watch. Cable instead of slow streaming! Kitchen well equipped. We loved it!!!

Property was exactly as described. The TV in the pics has been updated to a smart, flatscreen TV. This was a welcome surprise even though skiing and being outside was our primary focus. Very responsive, clean unit and well stocked kitchen. Will definitely consider staying again!

Great stay. Unit had not been serviced on checkinbeds linens and bathrooms. Made a call to owner and cleaning crew was there within about an hour. Excellent stay thereafter and owner was very responsive. No real issues. Bottom line would certainly stay again.

The condo was clean and allowed easy access to the 4848 festival. The couch bed was uncomfortable and we had bit of a issue with TP but over all it was a good stay. The owner was responsive and even called me back about an issue.

A cute condo for our stay. It had all the basics that we needed and more space than I thought the pictures showed! When we checked in and got the keys, the cleaning crew was still cleaning. We got up there after 4:00, but they were very nice and even helped us with our stuff! We put it in one room and went for an early dinner, a very nice clenaing crew.

Nice location, clean, and organized. It had everything we needed. Our only slight wish was that there were smart TVs where we could have logged into our Netflix accounts, but not a big deal. The wifi wasn't great, but that's pretty much everywhere up there. We would rent this unit again.

Great location and nice and roomy!
We loved our stay here at rimfire. My only complaint would be that the fireplace didn’t stay lit. I would 10/10 stay here again. My favorite place so far. Hot tubs are a solid addition to rimfire. This condo owner was very communicative and made sure we were well prepared for our stay.

The condo is perfectly situated to the village stores and restaurants and to the slopes (with only a short walk to rentals). The condo was adequately furnished for cooking meals and enjoying sunsets (either from the condo or from the hot tubs below). RimFire is one of our favorite places to stay at Snowshoe!

This is a great location to ski in / out at Snowshoe. Well appointed and spacious condo. We could not get the lockers downstairs to work, and also couldn't get the gas fireplace to work. Both could be modernized and made easier, but overall would come back.

My husband and our three children had a wonderful time in your condo. 3/08. My kids loved snow skiing. We had plenty of room and loved being being right in the village and close to the slopes. My daughter also loved the Starbucks right downstairs :) We hope to visit again next year. Loved all the movies too.

Overall a great experience and recommend this location. All the necessary kitchen items are provided, adequate room size, Large balcony and great view of the mountains. Only issues are that the pull out couch mattress was too thin, like laying on springs. Secondly, You do not get a discount on snowshoe equipment rentals as it’s a private rental. However, you do get an extra 5% at the Ski Barn at the bottom of the mountain. Once again I recommend this location and would stay here again in the future.

Access to ski slopes and village is excellent! It is a spacious & clean condo, has a well-stocked kitchen with lots of extras, and the added hooks & storage spaces throughout was convenient for all our ski gear. Detailed, helpful information was sent in an email. Check-in went smoothly. We like the option of parking our car in the garage (building charges for this now), especially if there’s bad weather. Many great benefits of staying here including 2 hot tubs (& an indoor pool is next door to Rimfire). Our only suggestion would be to update the mattresses as we (4 of us) did not sleep very well—even our teenagers said their mattress wasn’t comfortable.

Rimfire 3 night Stay
First off I want to say the property is perfect and I would go back again. We had a great time at this VRBO. It's located at a great location and in the middle of everything. The property is exactly as described in the listing with accurate pictures. With that said I just had a few comments on our stay. First the checking process really needs to be improved. After driving over 7.5 hrs we went thru a back/forth (3 times) with the resort's front desk to get our keys working right (access to the building and inside was denied). It was by pure luck a maintenance guy advised us on how the keys should be programmed to get them to work; maybe a training issue at the front desk. The second issue I encountered is the lack of proper salting and shoveling of the property. With the elevators being used alot and slow, I opted to take one of the stairways out of the building. When leaving out the door my right leg slid out from under me and I jammed my knee. I missed one of the two days of prepaid skiing because my knee was in a bit of pain. The last thing I would recommended is get the fireplace working right. It should work right when lite without having to wiggle wires. Like I said this is a great VRBO, would go back again but a few things need to be addressed.

 The condo was as depicted.  A large room with a queen and twin and a smaller room with a queen size bed, each bedroom with its own tv.  Two bathrooms.  Living room has sleeper sofa and kitchen seemed to have everything we needed but we did have to  reset the gfi switch a couple times.  There were only  two partial rolls of toilet paper and one trash bag for four days so if you're renting bring your own. The owner advertises access to indoor and outdoor heated pools as part of the rental which were not available.  He also lists broadband Internet as part of the rental but it was not functioning during our stay.  Our original reservation was through the resort, and had we kept that reservation, we would have been upgraded to an adjacent building with a functioning pool.  The only accommodation the condo owner made was for us to drive down the mountain to take advantage of a small off-site pool.  Not exactly the convenience we were looking for when traveling with teens to a condo whose owner advertises being adjacent to the Split Rock Aqua Center.   We basically got 'sorry, the pool is usually open by now' and 'hopefully they fixed the Internet yesterday.'    Most of the activities were closed during our stay, unfortunately, we only learned of that on check in. After reading the other reviews I can only surmise that the owner is tuned into his property during ski season, but not if you're renting for their summer activities.  We spent way too much money on a condo that boasted amenities that were not available.  Disappointed.
