"The property is exactly as shown in photos not a lot of room outside for the dog but it has a small fenced area so ok for little dogs. Very close to other houses but is quiet will need the car to get supplies. Surprised only one tv but loads of games for kids. Nice beds but a little hard. For the price it’s very expensive as just stayed at Waiheke and got a heated swimming pool and spa included for almost the same price Matakana is expensive and no beach views or country outlook. "The abbey is lovely to stay at and is an easy walk to the beach. It is all set up to make the stay enjoyable and relaxing. "

"Amazing location! The beach is almost at your doorstep. This made it very easy to hop on our paddle boards many times a day. Shallow waters and the lovely sand bars were perfect for toddlers and kids. The spa was a slight let down. Likely not much use, not easy to access and not clean. "Could not have had a better property or location. The whole experience was first class, the property was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need for a great stay. The bed/bedroom/en suite was superb. The living area/balcony provided a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful views of the golf course and allowed full appreciation of the outdoors.
