It takes 24-36 hours to get a beach parking pass, so apply before you go. Owner/property manager very responsive. House is set back far enough from Ocean Rd (which is not very busy anyway) that traffic was not a concern. Big windows, lots of natural light. We have already made a reservation for next...

"My husband and I had a beautiful stay in Gertrude for two nights. The property is beautiful and feels secluded but is close and convenient to everything you need. The only thing to note is that the only cooking facilities are a small grill and a kettle for tea/coffee. Also a mini fridge. All worked perfectly, but good to know for planning!"

"Big house with room for lots of people adults and kids. Great location on lake basically all by yourself. We kayaked across the lake and hiked around it. Many other hiking trails in the area. Great history in all directions. Easy access to skiing and the ocean. "

"An absolutely wonderful property. Tastefully decorated, fully stocked, and comfortable beds. Don't let the outside fool you. This is quite spacious inside with three generous bedrooms on the main floor and a fourth in the finished basement. Plenty of room for the entire family. The interior of the home looks like the pictures on the listing! Not like many properties where the picturres were taken years ago and the current state is in need of repair and updating.
