"I looked at this reservation as a place to stay with a clean bed. I got so much more. Conveniently located right off the highway and a restaurant (Governor's) attached, it was a wise choice. My guess a lot of spouses of those working at the paper mill were checking in for the weekend, because the lobby was busy when I arrived. The front desk attendant handled everyone with kindness and efficency. The room itself was beautiful. Large, high ceilings, beautiful fireplace and a working window. I settled right in and waited for my hubs to get off work. He was also happy with the room. The next day, I went out to shop, this hotel made it easy as it is convenient to everything. The hotel and its pool area was being refurbished, but it didn't hinder the restful weekend. Also, the coin operated washer and dryer was a great addition to a hotel near any job site. My husband works in this area frequently and I would gladly come back here. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Waterville. Very clean, super soft sheets. The breakfast was very nice! The young man working was diligent in keeping the food area stocked and the dining room very nice. It was not elaborate but every single thing we needed. We were very comfortable and it was convenient to the highway. McDonald's and lil shopping plaza in walking distance."

"With one kid already in college locally and the other on their way there in August we have got to know this neck of the woods quite well in recent years. Driftwood Cottage provides a perfect base for visits to the area with great access to Augusta and Waterville while sitting in the idyllic Belgrade Lakes region.We don’t visit Maine for fancy, we want practical, comfortable, clean and convenient and this house that in spades. We also greatly appreciated the dog-friendliness!Hosts could not have been more welcoming or communicative. So look out, we could be back soon!Thank you!"
