"Had a good stay for four nights, but it is more of an Airbnb than a hotel. I would not prefer their reception-less method if traveling alone. Rooms are spacious and quiet, but a little dingy/dusty. Showers would not stay warm for long in the evenings but mornings were fine. We had to contact owners for more towels and toilet paper but they arrived very quickly and seemed happy to check in with us. Extremely walk able area for beautiful Ghent, but getting to and from the train station required...

"The room was overall clean, and it was nice to have a kitchen available. However, there was no door for the washroom, which could be inconvenient when traveling with others. The room didn’t have a hairdryer. It seemed the hotel was converted from an office building. My room didn’t have a window, only glass doors with a curtain, which didn’t feel very private. It’s a functional space, but some design choices might not suit everyone’s needs."

"Our stay at Madison Nationale was fantastic! The location was unbeatable, close to everything we needed. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and had a really welcoming vibe. The staff were super friendly. I also loved how comfortable the bed was—perfect for a good night's rest after a long day. "Upon arriving at the property Alex met us outside, shown us around. Room was big and bed very comfortable, breakfast was great and very simple. Location is great to walk to many restaurants in the area, and about a 10 min walk to Grand Place. Enjoyed our staff and would definitely book again if back in the area. "

"Overall considering Brussels high prices this is a good value option, with some issues. The main ones being their check-in and checkouts policy. They only allow you to check-in very late and if you want to actually meet somebody within a tight 2 hour window. I think they might have the option to check in without concierge but that's a risk and I have had bad experiences in the past with other properties. Facilities are a bit dated especially the bathroom and bed had a mattress too thin and soft...
