"Gilles was an excellent host, and the house and yard are fantastic. We really enjoyed Rustrel and the surrounding area. In addition to the great bakery in town, we liked Au Pierrot Blanc in Apt (lavender ice cream) and horseback riding at the Horse Farm De Joucas (beautiful trail rides through vineyards, lavender fields). There are so many great things to do nearby that it's hard to choose, though! We enjoyed all of the helpful recommendations from Gilles."

The hosts were very responsive over email and Juliette, the property manager, was very helpful getting us checked in and explaining everything about the villa. Everything was as described: the villa was very well equipped, clean and spacious. The location was perfect for us too (just off the D232), with a short drive to Bonnieux (and Lourmarin). "This house was perfect for friends to spend a weekend in the countryside, and the owner and Aunt that lives next door were so helpful and responsive. The pool was beautiful and home was clean, lots of dishes and cooking materials for hosting. It was difficult to find the home, so better directions would be appreciated for other guests. "This was an amazing holiday, it was a mixed bunch of ages but we all kept ourselves doing what we wanted. The house is amazing and modern but with the old rustic charm still within the old house. The swimming pool was the main attraction for the youngsters. It was big enough for all our party, and when the temperature dropped Jean soon put this right. Lacoste is an amazing place to visit, but all the surrounding area was beautiful. Great holiday xx"

"From the time we arrived until we departed (too soon) we had a marvelous time. The gorgeous setting in Provence was perfect for our family of five. We could easily travel to towns like Gordes and Cassis to return to relax by the pool and dine in the patio kitchen. We even could watch some of the Olympics. Our host Peter greeted us when we arrived and had breakfast waiting for us our first morning. Truly a special time for our family! "

The host Danielle, provided excellent communication with us and the grounds keeper was also helpful. "We arrived at the location and found it in good condition with friendly hosts who were helpful and generous with there time as well allowing us to enjoy are holiday. The pool was fantastic and private and the placement of the property gives you fantastic access to the towns of Apt, Lourmarin and Bonnieux. We enjoyed some great food in the restaurants in all of these as well as travellling to Aix Provence for a little shopping. The facilities on site allowed us to have BBQs and cooking dinners...

"We had an idyllic week in early June as a family of 7 adults, so were able to make the most of the lovely pool and BBQ area. The property is beautiful and well equipped and the setting in Murs simply could not be better - a beautiful but off the beaten track village with some great walking on the doorstep, a fantastic restaurant in the village and an excellent boulangerie within a few minutes walk of the house. And really accessible for many of the other things to see in the Luberon and beyond,...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful property just outside Bonnieux. A fun house full of toys and a wonderful host very attentive to our needs."

"We were 8 adult family members and a small child, and to a person we absolutely loved our 14 nights in June stay in this home. The house and property were outstanding - beyond our expectations - and all of the people with whom we dealt, being our hosts, Michele and Olivier (who we did not meet in person), the housekeeper Farida, and the property maintainer, Olivier, were lovely. We very much hope to stay here again. The village of Lourmarin, less than1k away, is gorgeous - maybe the nicest...

"Lovely property with excellent staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us have an amazing experience. Only criticism was that there was a large wedding that overtook and closed the restaurant and bar over several days, which meant we often had to eat in our room. Valet parking and breakfast included in the rate was a nice perk. "

Character house in the heart of the Luberon Park

Home away from home in the Luberon

"This was a fantastic find. The price was very reasonable and the accommodations were superb. The house is well equipped and very comfortable. We spent 12 days there at the end of September/early October. The place is extremely well situated in a beautiful bucolic setting and very close to many key sites to visit in the Luberon. Our hosts were very gracious and helpful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!"

Exceptional, luxurious resort?

"Whatever your expectations for a five star luxury hotel, this property exceeded them. We have never been treated so personally, so warmly, and so professionally. From the minute, we arrived by car, they expected us, handled the check-in, and moved us to the front desk, where we were welcomed personally. Our rooms and all of the many restaurants, spa experiences, and views were exceptional. Above all, the concierge service was fantastic from advising us before our stay, during our stay, to offering us navigation For our departure. I would highly recommend this property or any in the Arielle family of luxury resorts. We departed with welcome gifts that we will cherish forever. The only downside was having to compare our next hotels to La Bastide de Gordes!"
