Ski-in, Ski-Out Silver Star Unit on the Knoll

This is the lower floor stratum of a house (built in 2005) on 'The Knoll' at Silver Star Mountain Resort. There is convenient ski-in, ski out access to nordic and alpine skiing via the 'Night Loop' that passes immediately behind the house. This 2 bedroom unit has a mixture of carpet, tile (with some heated floors), and linoleum. Cozy up in front of the natural gas fireplace after a great day of skiing. A private hot tub and BBQ are on the covered deck. All new furniture is present, including leather sofas. Come and unwind, losing yourself in this winter wonderland (with good times to be had in the summer too).

Christmas get away
Great location for nordic and alpine, well stocked kitchen, very clean, host was very attentive.It is a lower unit, so some noise from above unit at times, but overall pleasant and quiet. Decor is a bit dated.

Great place
Good for small group of adults, or large family with small kids. Great hot tub, view, hill access (small steep slope to the hill, easily traversed). Looking forward to another stay next year.

Great ski in/ski out location
This place was great. The location was close to the village (5 min walk) and chair lifts. We didn’t have to drive our veg anywhere the entire 5 night we were there. We will be booking our 2024 vacation soon.

Best family place
This unit is way bigger with higher ceilings then appears in the photos. It is well lit and comfortable with great sunrises. The kitchen is extremely well appointed with higher end utensils and cookware than any other place I have rented, with lots of serving ware and dining dishes. The host was super responsive and was able to lend me a small item I had forgotten for Nordic skiing. The location is beautiful- quiet street and in the trees, a magical view from the hot tub. You do have to walk about 30m up a small slope to ski out, unless you are young enough to drop through the tree trails. It’s totally worth it for the privacy though! The host provided all the linens we needed and having the washer and dryer meant we could carry less gear with us on the trip. Do beware of the parking- we got our large van out but having a smaller car/truck/4x4 would give a little more comfort. Highly recommend this rental and we hope to rent here again!

This place was the best VRBO we have stayed in. Clean, lots of windows, individual thermostats allow for good heat control. Seemed like a new carpet, it was clean! This place had the best stocked kitchen of any place! We cook all our food and there were lots of pots and pans and casserole dishes. There was plastic and foil and parchment! Lots of mugs and glasses. Appreciated that there was lots of leftover spices and sauces. Always handy. Our only issue is that the listing should say it is the B suite. We had ordered groceries and the person did not know where to deliver and got a little testy.....

Fantastic early season xc ski getaway
Excellent accommodation with easy access to nordic trails and village. The snow cooperated this year and we had fantastic ski conditions all week. Great hot tub! Had some plumbing issues but Jason got them fixed quickly.

Great family vacation.
The property was clean and spacious. The hot tub was great and the kitchen was well stocked. The location is conveniently located on a ski way but you have to pole a bit to get to the lifts. All in all, We really enjoyed the stay and would recommend this property and Silverstar.

Place was amazing location, spacious and comfortable. Kitchen very well set up. Great for a family of 4 - however I think if you are trying to have beds for >4 people it would be tight.

The bunk bed situation was not great for the second couple - more suitable for a family with children. Plumbing noise from upstairs was audible in the bedrooms and was annoying. Otherwise, very clean, comfy and spacious; well supplied kitchen; good location 😊

Great time at silverstar and the comfortable accommodations
Great location near the top of Silverwood lift allowing you easy access to those runs plus the comet lift and village center by ski. Spacious, clean, modern and well appointed with room for socializing in 2 areas Really enjoyed the hot tub and bbq with the incredible view from the deck. An FYI, beware of the walk back from the village, it is all up hill, steep hill.

Excellent place for a family of 4 . Kitchen is well stocked for cooking . Ski in , Ski out, trail for snowshoe is just a few steps away . Nestled in a little forest , 5 min away from the village , very quiet .

Silverstar Getaway
What a wonderful experience at Jason's condo. It was so clean, and kept up to date. We all loved the hot tub and the view is absolutely stunning. Thank you for a wonderful getaway!

great location on the Knoll at Silver Star
This was our 2nd time staying at Jason's property at Silver Star. As we prepare all our own meals, we appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Having a private hot tub on the patio off the dining room is always a welcome treat following hours on the xc ski trails. Comfortable beds are important too! Communication with our host Jason was always prompt. He appreciated me mentioning the addition of a reading lamp in the livingroom and dimmer switch in the dining room would be add to the ambience of the space. All and all, a great stay!

A lovely spot very nearby the village, but far enough away to feel private and quiet. We could hear people upstairs, but didn't find it noisy at all. Enjoyed the lovely kitchen, the hot-tub and comfortable beds. Everything was very clean and cozy. It also has a great set-up space for bikes and skis.

Four friends stayed for annual ski trip & had everything we needed. On arrival had to contact owner to get into the condo, he returned call immediately and was very helpful (specific details how to operate the door were provided in the information about the unit, but we had overlooked it). The condo clean and well maintained with everything you need. Hot tub heavenly after a day on the slopes! You do have to go down path from condo to ski way which may be difficult for some. Great vacation and we would definitely stay here again!

Good location!!!
The space is big enough to accommodate 2 families (6+ people). Please be aware, that this is not the entire house, it is only the lower floor. Well equipped and clean. Very good location with ski-in and ski-out. The only drawback is the noise from the people leaving upstairs and the parking lot (driveway). The first one, you will be up when the people upstairs are up. No soundproof insulation between the floors. You can hear the toiled and the shower from the above neighbors. The second item is the parking, which is on the driveway. As the driveways is very narrow to fit two cars side by side, my car (brand new car, 4 months old) suffered numerous damages, scratches from other peoples unloading the skis, and luggage. When I got home and washed the car, I was shocked. You can see the curved scratches, probably from the skis and pools. Numerous dents from bumping the polls against the car. Very disappointed.

Great place to stay but access was difficult
We had a great stay in this property at Silverstar, it was clean, great location close the village, and could ski right to the door. The kids loved playing in the snow right outside!! The location of the driveway caused some issues. Due to the snow and the angle of the driveway on a hill we could not get our vehicle into the driveway and as a result had to door knock the street trying to find someone who would allow us to park in their driveway. The laneway to access the house is not suitable for cars that are not 4x4 when its snowing. Overall though this was a great place to stay for a family holiday
