"Everything was great! The house was clean and everything worked well! Wish we'd stayed longer. Only thing I would add is bring your own sponges to do the dishes if you plan on cooking!"

"All was as stated in the listing. All the pots, pans and utensils needed and clean, close to the lake and the Porkies. I will say, the paper products thing was a surprise. It is listed in the property description but I was disappointed and how much “to get you started” amounted to. There was a single roll of toilet paper in each bathroom along with a few tissues. We were in need of more by the first morning. Given the cost to have these stocked, seemed like a pretty big hassle. "

"This was exactly what we needed to explore the area. The house was the perfect amount of space and had what we needed. The kids loved playing in the yard and a short distance to the beach and the Porcupine mountains. We loved the area. "

"This little spot was the perfect place to stay close to the porkies and have all of the amenities to be self sufficient. It was better stocked than most places we’ve stayed across the state. After lots of hiking and climbing all those stairs to get to the top of Summit Peak, the hot tub was a welcomed treat!! Also close to the the Konteka, which was fun to mingle with other travelers and catch a few sports games. Thanks for a great stay! Highly recommend. "

"Loved the house, so much nostalgia…..loved the kitchen stove, that worked very well, by the way. Perfect location quiet and central to many things we wanted to see. Loved talking with Tina, she was more than happy to answer my questions about the house and the surrounding area and Pat was prompt in communicating with me when needed. Definately would stay again!!!!"

"This home was perfect for our family of 3! We originally scheduled it for 3 nights in Sept, but had to reschedule at the last minute due to a family health emergency. The host was very understanding and accommodating and we rescheduled for the end of Oct. We just returned home from our mini vacation and had a fantastic time. The home was clean,spacious and very quiet. We loved the hot tub after doing a lot of hiking. Location was great to the Porkies and nearby restaurants. Would highly...

"Good place if you don’t care if it’s completely clean. Plenty of grass for the fur babies. Bathroom and bedrooms are upstairs. Not good for people or kids who have a challenge with stairs. Overall, I’d stay there again."

"We lived staying here. Barrick location, very clean and spacious. We'll stocked kitchen. Just a great place to stage a trip to the Porcupine Mountains. Close enough to Houghton that our Tech student could come hang out with us. We're coming back!"

"Very cozy home only about a 10-minute drive from the Porcupine Mountains Visitor's Center. Fast wifi and Roku TV with streaming were great amenities for resting between adventures."

"From renting to checking out, everything was amazing and simple. We enjoyed the house and the area. We were able to rent a pontoon boat and a fishing boat on this lake. Went to Porcupine Mountains, Lake of the Clouds and Bonds falls. One of the best places to eat is about 39 min away but The Konteca was amazing to see bears while eating dinner. "
