We had a great stay overnight. The amenities were great, everything you would need. I especially was impressed with the clock/phone charger, very cool. We found the path/hill a bit of a challenge but we managed, overall I would highly recommend the property and it's owners/managers, very helpful

Great spot
Great location - easy drive into Victoria but away from the hustle & bustle. Everything you need is there even coffee/cream & yogurt to start you off. This is my second time staying here and would recommend it to anyone. Take a drive down the road to The Roost for some delicious food as well.

The Barrett Bungalow
Wow! This is an excellent 'home away from home' when travelling to Vancouver Island! The location was perfect for us as we were visiting family in Saanichton and exploring Sydney, both only minutes away. The bungalow was very well equipped with everything we needed, was comfortable and cozy, and the hosts were readily available and helpful. We will definitely book The Barrett Bungalow again!

Wow, we were very impressed with our stay here! From the ease of check-in, to the book of recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing nearby, to the extra hair elastics in the bathroom - this place had amazing little above-and-beyond special touches. If you want to stay near Butchart Gardens and love waking up to the sound of birds singing, this is the place for you! 10/10 would totally stay here again!

Excellent choice
Communication was great and check in was so easy! Love that I could pick my own door code (easy to remember) and the apartment is exactly what I needed. I was trying to come up with something to suggest that was needed and all I could think of was a colander and maybe some books on the area to look through. Great size for a single or couple - and very private from the main residence. I will be staying here again when I come down to the Island again.

What a fantastic place
We spent some time off work and this place was just what we needed, peace quiet and great location in North Saanich, with a short drive to the airport. Sharon and Paul are great hosts, they really take care of their property and its like your home away from home. The welcoming yogurt and coffee are one of the many details and amenities this place has to offer. Although access to public transportation is a walk away, we recommend renting a car to get around. Accessing the bungalow could be challenging for some, as you have to go down a slope to reach the entry and then back up to leave it. Everything else is just fantastic. We highly recommend. Thank you Paul and Sharon.

Beautiful vacation property!
Amazing property and wonderful location. It took us no time at all to get from the airport to the VRBO. I enjoyed having a designated parking spot. I was travelling with my 18 year old daughter and she loved the property, too! The supplied coffee, tea, cream, and yogurts had us set up every morning for some quick sustenance before we went out for the day to enjoy the area. The property owners supplied a manual that included recommended local restaurants and eateries which was very handy since we wanted to eat local. The outdoor patio area is great for both morning coffees and afternoon drinks. If you are looking for a property with full amenities and peace and quiet where the only sound you hear outside is birds chirping, this is the place to stay!

Would recommend the Barrett Bungalow! Booking and communication with owners was prompt and clear and there was no problem locating the property. Amenities were great; even K pods, coffee cream and a couple of yogurts, among other items. The day we arrived, it was in mid 20’s, but there is a ceiling fan and two floor fans, so cooled down to low 20’s with the windows open. Binder of clear instructions on use of TV etc. My wife complained about the bed pillow, but it was fine by me. The bed is a double and a queen size would be nice, but then we had just slept on a king the night before so that is hard to follow! Really quiet neighbourhood and close to walking trails.

Cute little, quiet house - Close to airport
Over all it was a great stay. The location is right by the airport that is why I picked it. I was already out on the island for a week and this capped off my trip. My sister and I stayed on the property. It was comfortable and clean, and had everything we needed. Only thing I will note for others, is the bedroom does not have blackout blinds so bring your sleep mask. The internet is very hit and miss as well but that may have been due to the rain, not sure. The walkway is super steep going down into the place as well. I would have liked to use the patio even though the weather was not great, but that was not available due to the season. I am from the prairies where it's full winter so being outside was something we wanted to enjoy regardless. Over all it was a great stay and If I need a quick, easy spot to the airport, I'd stay again. Host was very responsive if I had a question. Thanks again.
