"This hotel was set right on the water with a private beach, kayaks, and paddle boat. Our room was very large, and all the rooms have their own balcony. The hotel is very quiet because nobody is above or below you in another room. It's so easy to drive into Cefalu and park, and the hotel has its own parking lot. The breakfast was fine, rather basic, but overall, we loved the setting right on the ocean and would happily stay again. "

"The hotel is brand new within a renovated villa. We stayed in junior suite room, which was very spacious with a sea view and a balcony. The room was very clean, modern, with A/C. "Amazing stay in the center of Palermo. We had a corner room with a view of the theatre, which was quite special. Enjoyed the restaurant one night and the hospitality of the staff and family owners the entire weekend. Breakfast at the cafe was adequate, service has something to be desired. Great location. Be sure to read the booklet on the art and history of the building and be sure to inquire about the connection to the film, The Godfather. "

"This accommodation had an excellent location, just off a quiet street and felt very safe and secure. There was a lift to our place. The furniture was a little old and basic, but it suited our needs and the location made up for the "frugality" (e.g. no corkscrew, shower gel etc - unless you pay extra). But I shouldn't quibble as we had a great time!"

"The property was amazing! The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was beautiful. The beach is a five minute walk from property - small and rocky but nice. A taxi to the center of town is 15 euros and about a 5 minute drive, or a 30 minute walk. The staff was extremely helpful over What'sApp - gave us recommendations, helped us with taxis, and answered any and all questions we had. I would highly recommend Residence Magarà and Cefalu in general"

"The hotel Al-Taïr Via Duca Degli Abruzzi 83 San Vito LoCapo is a hotel I would recommend. Very clean and owner available every day if you wished information or help. Less than a five minute walk to the beach. My only negative point was the breakfast buffet was the same every day. Air conditioning worked and tv had Sky available as well as terrestrial stations."

"After checking reviews of this place I was a bit worried but overall we did enjoy our stay. We are family of 4 and stayed 7 nights in bungalow. Accommodation was spacious and clean however very outdated. AC only in the bedroom so kids who were sleeping in living/dining area complained of a heat. This is a sport complex which is available to the public so at the weekends quite busy. But plenty of sun beds so no issue with finding a spot. Big swimming pool, however swimming cups are necessary....

"There was no at the reception desk. The property manager accused me of lying about my kids because there were 2 single beds joined but we were 3 people. My daughter had to sleep in the middle of the 2 beds . The pillows were uncomfortable . There was 1roll of toilet paper. I had to go buy my own. I had no internet service. The kitchen was somewhat clean but you could see their storage room that was messy Nd made kitchen aesthetically unappealing. The night table and desk shelf was dusty ."

"Given that it was my first time to Palermo, I didn't know what to expect regarding our accommodations at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Upon entering the lobby, we knew it was going to be indeed "grand" and live up to its name. The staff was both helpful and friendly and our deluxe double rooms were much larger than one normally encounters in Europe. The hotel is perfectly situated in an area where everything is convenient - from restaurants and bars to shopping and major local attractions. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but it was promptly repaired as soon as we alerted the front desk. More importantly though, this is a hotel where the staff is willing to go above and beyond. When we encountered an issue with our rental car while parking to check in, the hotel General Manager Signore Tintori personally intervened on our behalf, especially valuable since none of us spoke Italian. He quickly diffused the situation and alleviated a problem that could have escalated. He even took the time to follow up the next day to ensure everything was in good order. We couldn't have managed without his assistance. Without hesitation, we would return to this property when visiting Palermo again."
