"Ok, when we first arrived we were a little worried. The hotel is old and the room was a little tight with 4 sleeping mats on the floor BUT by the end of our 3 night stay we really enjoyed our stay. The onsen is lovely and that really made the stay, along with the staff who were eager to help with anything. Breakfast was included with lots of options and was quite good. We were here for a ski trip and this turned out to be a great location although a little further from Furano than expected (50 min on a small road). The beds were mats on the floor with small bean bag pillows and could have a been a little more comfortable but we got used to it. Parking was free and easy. Not a lot of restaurants close by but some food trucks across the street open for lunch. Would stay again. "

"Our stay at La Vista Daisetsuzan was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel. "The lobby and facilities are a bit dated, but the cleanliness of the room really stood out. The room was spacious, allowing plenty of space to move around, which made for a very comfortable stay. I slept well, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. If you’re renting a car, I highly recommend this place! High season with a affordable price as well "

"Perfect food and good quality. Beef at dinner is simply gorgeous. Excellent staff hospitality l. Couldn't ask for anything better. Onsen a bit outdated and small with no massage bubbles, etc. Other than this all good."

"The hotel was very convenient.If you arrive early the hotel will hold your luggage. The room was very spacious compared to Japanese standards. The room was clean. The Japanese breakfast had many items to choose from. If you’re not going around in a car this hotel is great and before the hotel from the station, the tourist information office is there. The Biei tourist office runs a tour bus around Biei twice a day. Also get your train and bus schedules. The trains comes every 2 hours after the summer season, so you have to time yourself wisely. "
