"I had a great stay at this B&B only a few minutes drive from Ishigaki town. The couple running this property could have not been nicer or more welcoming. I stayed 4 nights and the freshly prepared Okinawan breakfast every morning was amazing and totally different each day. You stay in the same building as the owners and their well behaved pets - one small dog and three cats. The rooms are large and sharing a bathroom was not an issue. "I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Iriomote. There's lots of space on the property, including a massive bathroom and a huge terrace, with a sea view where you can see the stars at night. "We are so pleased to have stayed 7 nights at HIRUGI. The staff helped us prior to arrival with car rental and restaurant reservations (we don't speak Japanese). The lady of the house is SUPER hospitable (speaks French too). So many positive aspects including tips on New Year activities taking place and a traditional dinner organized. We were the only couple there most nights, few other guests during our stay, so we mostly had the place to ourselves. We would definitely stay again and recommend...

"My husband and I had an absolutu fantastic stay here for 3 nights - it's the perfect base to explore the island while being located close to Ishigaki centre for great food options and amenities. The swimming pool was a fantastic length to do laps in, and the buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of western and Asian options. Our room was spotless with a beautiful view over the ocean. We will definitely be coming back to stay again! "
