The area is peaceful, and the home is well-maintained with easy access to nearby amenities. However, we encountered some discrepancies between the listing and the actual accommodations. "The property was as described and pictured. The house was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was easy to work in and had plenty of amenities. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and in the kitchen, as well as, paper and toiletry products. A previous review had noted hearing gunfire during their stay. We did hear them firing at times from the practice range off in the distance but it was not loud, did not bother us nor was it concerning. The hosts were very responsive to questions and...

"This place is amazing! My family of 13 ages 3-70 stayed here for 3 nights. There was enough space for all of us, without feeling like we were on top of each other. Beds were amazing and so comfortable! We have a boy who’s still potty training and forgot his potty seat, but they have an added potty seat attached to one of the bathrooms it was a nice touch and helped us out a lot. Lastly "

"We really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It was very clean and everything we needed was there for us. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub right there on the deck. It was beautiful. Sitting out in the morning on the deck and watching golfers come by. The beds were very comfortable and our host was very responsive to any questions that came up. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the West Virginia area!"

"We spent our anniversary weekend here and it was great. It’s a very private little cabin with a nice deck and hot tub, and we loved using the grill on the deck as well. Didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit due to a burn notice, but it looks like a great setup. It’s a bit of a haiku to get groceriies, so come prepared. Very convenient to Harper’s ferry national historic park and all the hiking and history available there. "

"Words cannot express the experience we had at this beautiful cabin. They just would not do it justice, but I am going to try. Driving to the cabin, in the neighborhood, you feel a sense of serenity and peace. The neighborhood seems like a family place. Full of love and joy. Ample parking is provided at the cabin. "WE took our two teenage sons just for long weekend - time to unplug and relax with no distractions! This cabin was PERFECT! Just big enough for the 4 of us and our dog, but had everything we could need. Clean and well appointed. Tony was very attentive and communicative! Will definitely be coming back! "

"We were very pleased with The Woods - the community is beautiful and our kids loved the pools. This property was fantastic for our family and was possibly the cleanest rental I’ve ever had. It was well stocked and I appreciated that the linens were provided and beds were already made. My only suggestion for improvement would be to provide more towels per guest. Thank you for everything. "

"Had a wonderful stay at our Chalet. Trees still had some color and plenty of wildlife around. Chalet was perfect for our needs and although it isn't ski season there is plenty of things to visit and see. We hope to stay here again in the future. We had a lovely time. "

"Just stayed overnight. Nicely decorated with not too much stuff I needed to be worried about the kids breaking. I was a little miffed that there's a decent cleaning fee but I had to take the garbage with me. ? Also learned that if I'm expecting to use a feature of a property I should check first to see if it's available - the lighter was dead anywhere were no matches so I had to get mmy own. "Quiet and relaxing. Had hoped to get the kayaks out but one girl was just post surgery on her wrist so we had to bypass them this trip. Our favorite part of the weekend was sitting on the porch and looking at the Potomac. So relaxing. The house was cute and clean, just like the pictures. Shopped in Shepersdstown and ate at the Blur Moon. It was fun!! Could not find parking in Harper’s Ferry. We were bummed about that but it didn’t ruin our weekend. We will be back to kayak and swim. "
