Every inch of the suite has a special touch. From the plush couch in the relaxing area to the bedside history book that added a thoughtful local element. Despite its size, it was perfectly heated, and I felt utterly cocooned in luxury. The canopy bed was the comfortable, making me feel like a princess. Normally, I'd opt for the walk-in shower, but with a stunning bathtub raised on a platform in the centre of the room how could I resist? The staff were exceptional; warm, friendly, and attentive, with lovely personal touches like a handwritten note from housekeeping. And the food? Divine. Arriving late, I treated myself to a mouth watering bread and butter pudding in my room - the perfect sweet ending to a long day. I'm a particular about breakfast, and my eggs were spot on. As someone who regularly travels for business, I can confidently say I've found a little slice of heaven in The George Hotel. This isn't just a stopover anymore - it's my go-to. "Really nice room, warm and comfortable and biscuits and hit chocolate!, and a great pub with generous portions of great food. Definitely will stay again. Only downside was they ran out of sausages and mash in the pub 😭 But I'll overlook that."
