"Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid."

"It was absolutely love. Love the history information and the fresh flowers were beautiful. The only suggestions that I would have. To replace the toilet with a tall handicap style toilet, toilet, and make sure that it was fastened well on the floor. Also provide a new mattress for the main floor bed Really hate to say anything about it because it was so lovely. Enjoy the peaceful. Thank you for providing this opportunity."

As noted by the owners this place is for you if you’ll love being on a small family farm so of course there are chickens and goats and dogs and a horse, etc.; it’s awesome. Being right on the lake was beautiful...and would have been more so if we had gone 2 weeks earlier to see all the leaves changing! "Staying at this remote cabin made for an enjoyable Virginia Tech weekend! My wife and I were visiting our daughter for Family Weekend at VT. We decided to forgo a hotel and find a space with a kitchen, where we could be away from the long lines at restaurants and other venues that was our experience the previous Family Weekend. "We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again."

"Our stay was great. The location is perfect. The deck and dock are both great areas to hang out. The kayaks provided at the property were awesome to take out on the lake. Slept 12 comfortably. Overall just an awesome place for a summer weekend."

"Cozy, neat and perfect location for recent AT section hike. Great for slack packing days around McAfee Knob and Dragon’s Tooth trail attractions. Playground in town was perfect for the grandkids play time. Close enough to enjoy the amenities of Daleville, Troutville and Roanoke. Only detractions were the lack of immediate food options in Catawba and the obstructive view of the oncoming traffic from the driveway. "
