"We had a great stay at this cabin in mid-August. Although it was rainy, we found lots to do nearby and found the cabin had everything we needed for meals in and relaxing. Beautiful spot, and great hosts!"

"Gene’s house a gem! A veritable retreat nestled in the trees with a crystal water creek running by. We loved the cathedral ceilings and the views over the forest all around the house. The deck with BBQ is perfect for enjoying nature. The place is brand new, fully equipped and nicely decorated. The perfect spot in beautiful Vermont. "We booked this place as a bed and breakfast. No breakfast. No staff on site. No information was provided at the hotel to help us find things in the area. We were not informed that this was a "self check in hotel" until after the cancellation date. Calling the Heritage office (off site) for assistance was useless as the staff could not answer our questions. The common areas were sparsely furnished and shabby. "Used coffee cups in dining area...no breakfast...owner said that he would compensate for that but there was no one to check us out the next morning with no compensation...shame that an historic inn is falling through the cracks...I definitely would not stay there again..."
